Karnataka NEET counselling Round 1 allotment result is out today on 21 August, 2024. The result is now available on the official website i.e. https://cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea/. This counselling is conducted based on the NEET UG score. Through this counselling, you will be able to get admission into various BDS, MBBS, Homeopathy, AYUSH, Ayurveda and Unani courses in both private and government colleges.

This year 13,16,268 students qualified for the exam conducted on May 5 and a re-exam was conducted on June 23. The counselling is conducted by KEA for 85% state quota and 100% of private college seats. MCC will conduct NEET 2024 Karnataka Counselling for 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats. T

he number of government MBBS seats and private MBBS seats in Karnataka are 3200 and 7745 respectively. The number of government BDS seats and private BDS seats in Karnataka are 3405 and 3545 respectively. The counselling will be conducted in two rounds and one mop-up round for vacant seats left after both rounds.

Karnataka NEET Counselling Round 1 Result Download

You can check the Karnataka NEET counselling round 1 result on the official website, cetonline.karnataka.gov.in. Go to the official website and Click on the link "UG NEET -2024 First Round Allotment Result". Enter your login credentials and submit. Your result will be displayed on the screen. You can download the result and print it out for future reference.

Karnataka NEET counselling 2024 Registration Process

You need to register online before each round to participate in the counselling process. To register, you are required to visit the official website and click on UGET 2024 online registration. After entering personal details you need to upload a scanned photograph and signature. Next, you have to pay the registration fees and save the payment receipt for future reference.

A list of selected candidates will be released by the authority. After checking the list you need to appear for document verification. You need to carry all the required documents to the verification centre. You will be issued an acknowledgement slip which you have to preserve for further process.

The registration process will be completed with the payment of the fees and without it, no candidate will be allowed to the counselling process. The application fee is INR 5500 for NRI/OCI/PIO/Foreign nationals. General/2A/2B/3A/3B candidates need to pay INR 250 to register for the counselling. If you belong to SC/ST/Cat-I/PWD then you are required to pay INR 500. You have to pay the application fee online using a debit card, credit card or net banking as there is no offline method of payment.

Eligibility Criteria for Karnataka NEET counselling

To participate in the counselling you need to meet some criteria set by the exam authority. You should have qualified class 12 exam with 50% marks in Chemistry, Physics and Biology from the Karnataka board. Students belonging to the reserved category must secure 45% in class 12 exams in the same subjects. You must have secured at least 50 percentile in the NEET exam.

As per the physical standard eligibility rules, only medically fit candidates can apply for this counselling. Your minimum age must be 17 years as of December 31, 2024, and no upper age limit is thee. You must possess a domicile of origin in Karnataka and if your parents are working in Karnataka as Govt. of India employees then you are also eligible for the counselling.

Guidelines for Non-Karnataka Candidates

Some guidelines you have to follow if you are a non-Karnataka applicant. After qualifying for the NEET exam you need to register online for the counselling. You are required to upload some important documents in PDF format. The documents include the mark sheet of Class 12, NEET 2024 scorecard, a Single PDF of Class 10 and 12 marks card and a Single PDF of NEET 2024 Scorecard, Class 10 and 12 marks card. NRI, PIO, OCI, foreign nationals, and if any non-Karnataka candidate is eligible to claim an NRI ward seat or under category 2 to 8 in St. John Medical College will have to appear for verification of documents at KEA.

Guidelines for Karnataka CET Candidates

If you are ranked in UGCET 2024 then you need to complete the document verification. You have to download the verification slip from the KEA portal to become eligible for admission to Medical and Dental colleges. If a candidate is eligible to claim a reservation under Linguistic minority or NRI ward seat or under category 2 to 8 in St. John Medical College will have to claim the same in the online application form. If you have not registered for UGCET 2024 but qualified for NEET 2024 then you have to complete the online registration process by entering all the required documents. If you have registered for UGCET and paid the registration fees but did not appear for the document verification due to low scores in UGCET 2024 will also have to appear for document verification if you have cracked NEET 2024.

Karnataka NEET Counselling Seat Allotment

Can I go for a second round of seat allotment after getting a seat in the first round of counselling?

If you are not satisfied with the allotted seat then you can go for further rounds. During the seat allotment process, you will get four options. The options are stated below.

  • You are satisfied with your allotted seat and do not want to participate in further rounds.
  • You are satisfied with your allotted seat but want to participate in the further rounds of counselling. In that case, your previous seat will be given to another eligible candidate and you have to go for the latest allotted seat.
  • You are not satisfied with the allotted seat and want to participate in the next round of counselling.
  • If you are not satisfied with the allotted seat and also do not want to participate in the further rounds then they can drop their seat and the seat will be given to another eligible candidate in the next round.

The seats will be allotted based on the choice that you filled during registration, your merit and the availability of seats. Seat allotment results will be released on the official website after each round of the seat allotment.

What if I do not get a seat in both rounds of counselling?

If you do not get any seat in both rounds then you can participate in the mop-up round. A mop-up round is conducted to fill the remaining vacant seats. Therefore, if you do not get seats then there will be a chance to get one in this round based on your merit, availability of the seats and your choices.

What to do after I get a seat in an institution?

Once you are allocated a seat you need to pay the seat confirmation fee to confirm your seat. You need to report the allotted college/university/institution with the required documents and fee patent receipt.
