CEE has started KEAM Application Form Correction for NRI Quota students who applied for MBBS/ MDS courses. The deadline to verify profile and rectify any errors on the KEAM website – cee.kerala.gov.in/cee/ has been extended until July 20, 2024, at 11:59 PM. This applies to candidates for KEAM 2024 Engineering, Pharmacy, Architecture, Medical, and Medical Allied courses. The CEE has released KEAM 2024 rank list on July 11, 2024. The rank list is prepared based on standardized scores of 10+2 and KEAM 2024 scores.
- Candidates wanted to add NRI claims to submitted applications for MBBS/ MDS course admission can do so till July 20, 2024 (11:59 PM).
- As per the reputed media sources, 58,340 students qualified the exam this year. Of them, 52,000 have made it to the rank list.
- There has been a surge in the number of qualified students by 4261 as compared to the last year.
50:50 equal weightage of KEAM scores and Class 12th marks in PCM subjects are given to prepare the rank list. Candidates require a minimum of 10 marks each in Paper 1 and Paper 2 to qualify the exam. According to the previous years’ KEAM cut off, 400+ score can be considered a good score in KEAM 2024 exam.
As per marks vs rank, the expected percentile for a score above 458 is 99+. The rank range for this score can be between 1 to 800 which is considered quite decent to get into any engineering or medical institute.
What is KEAM Exam?
The Kerala Engineering, Architecture and Medical Entrance Exam (KEAM) is a state-level entrance exam conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examination (CEE) for admission to engineering and pharmacy colleges across Kerala (self-financed, government and private). Admissions to architecture and medical courses are based on NATA and NEET scores respectively.

KEAM 2024 Result
Results for KEAM are published on the official website of CEE Kerala- cee.kerala.gov.in. The rank list has also been published on July 11, 2024. A different merit list for each course is designed based on the marks of the candidates. If a candidate's name is present in any of the merit lists they will receive a call for admission counseling. To further the centralized allotment/ admission process (CAP) the candidate needs to keep a printout of their KEAM 2024 result.

KEAM 2024 Counseling
After KEAM 2024 results are out the counseling rounds for admissions will begin with a centralized allotment/ admission process (CAP). Candidates who have been shortlisted based on their marks which they have scored in KEAM will be eligible for the process. Through a single window system candidates must register themselves for the counseling procedure and fill in their choice of colleges. KEAM 2024 Admit card
KEAM 2024 admit card is a required document that bears great importance. It is released on the official website of CEE Kerala. Registered candidates are the ones who receive the admit card. It can be downloaded from the KEAM candidate portal by entering one’s login credentials and accessing it. It is recommended to print out the admit card as it is released now. A printed copy of the admit card is to be presented at the examination center on the day of the exam without which candidates cannot sit for the KEAM.

The official has released KEAM 2024 application form correction window on their portal, cee.kerala.gov.in. You can check and upload with the proper name, signature, photograph, and class 10th certificate by following these steps:
- Step 1: Firstly, visit the official website, i.e., cee.kerala.gov.in, and click on the application form correction details
- Step 2: Now, login with your KEAM Application Number, and Password and enter the security captcha code
- Step 3: Now, you can view the defects on your name, photograph, signature, and class 10th certificate by clicking on “Memo details” provided in your profile page

KEAM 2024 Syllabus

KEAM 2024 Exam Pattern
Each year, KEAM is held in the offline mode and it is pen-paper based. However, this year KEAM exam pattern is expected to change. Instead of an OMR-based entrance exam, CEE Kerala might conduct KEAM 2024 as a computer-based test.

- Candidates are required to answer 150 MCQs in Engineering and 75 MCQs in BPharm paper
- As per KEAM marking scheme, there is 4 marks for every correct answer and -1 mark is deducedtd for every wrong one since it is objective- based.
- 180 minutes and 90 minutes allotted for Engineering and BPharm papers respectively.

KEAM 2024 Eligibility Criteria
KEAM 2024 eligibility criteria require Indian candidates above 17 years of age for admission.
Age and nationality eligibility criteria:
- Candidates can apply if they are 17 years old on or before 31st December 2024. Only candidates above the age of 17 are allowed to sit for the KEAM 2024, there is no upper age limit to apply for the exam. No relaxation in the minimum age requirement is permitted.
- Candidate must be a permanent resident of India and/or an Indian national. KEAM 2024 also allows OCI (Overseas Citizens of India) and PIO (Persons of Indian Origin) candidates to apply.
KEAM Eligibility for Engineering, Pharmacy, Medicine and Allied Sciences courses:
- Candidates must at least pass 12th grade from the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Kerala or equivalent from any recognized board as minimum education requirement for KEAM 2024. Minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/ Biotechnology or Computer Science are required.
- Candidates are eligible to apply for programs such as BTech (Food Engg.), BTech (Dairy Science & Technology) and BTech (Ag. Engg.) if they have secured a minimum 50% marks in Mathematics and 50% aggregate in Physics and Chemistry.
- with 45% aggregate in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together are eligible for admission under Management Quota in Private Self Financing Engineering Colleges/Government Controlled Self Financing Engineering Colleges.
KEAM Eligibility for B.Architecture:
- Candidates must pass 12th grade or equivalent from Board of Higher Secondary Education, Kerala or equivalent from any recognized board with minimum 50% aggregate marks in each subject and they should have mathematics, chemistry and physics as compulsory subjects.
- Candidates with a 10+3 diploma in any stream with Mathematics as a compulsory subject can apply for KEAM 2024 as well.
- The candidates require a valid NATA 2024 score card as they must qualify for NATA on or before 30th June 2024 to be eligible applicants for KEAM.
KEAM Eligibility for B. Pharm:
- Candidates must pass their 12th grade examination with 50% in Biology or Mathematics and 50% in total aggregate (Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics).
KEAM Eligibility for MBBS, BDS, and BSMS courses:
- Candidates must pass 12th grade examination or equivalent with 50% in biology/biotechnology and 50% in total aggregate (Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology) in order to apply for KEAM.
- Candidates also require a valid NEET 2024 score card.
NOTE: Candidates from socio-economically backward classes get a relaxation of 5% in minimum marks obtained in the qualifying 12th grade examination requirement hence, they require a minimum of 45% marks in Biology/Mathematics and 45% aggregate in Biology/Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics to apply for KEAM 2024. KEAM 2024 Registration
Candidates must apply for KEAM 2024 by going to the official website of CEE Kerala, cee.kerala.gov.in. To register, candidates need to enter basic personal details like name, date of birth, mobile number and email address. Post finishing the registration candidates will receive their login credentials and password over their mobile number or email address.

To be eligible for KEAM Exam, candidates need to pass the 10+2 final exam with 50% marks. Moreover, candidates appearing for their final year board exam can also apply for KEAM Exam. Minimum qualifying marks for Mathematics is 50% whereas maximum marks in aggregate in both Physics and Chemistry is 50%. However, candidates should meet some other criteria to be eligible for the exam.

Yes, you can apply for the KEAM exam as a student from another state. NK I and NK II are the two categories into which non-Keralite candidates are split. Candidates for NK I status must have finished their qualifying course in Kerala and have non-Keralite parents who have worked for the Kerala government for a minimum of two years. Those who don't fit the requirements for the NK I category are considered NK II prospects.
Candidates for NK I will not be eligible for any form of fee reduction or reservation.
Only when seats remain empty following the allocation of Keralites and Non-Keralites 1 Candidates will NK II students be granted admission.
KEAM applications are only open to Indian nationals. Holders of an overseas citizen of India (OCI) card or a person of Indian origin (PIO) card will be treated at par with Indian citizens for the purpose of admission.

Students applying for Serving Defence Personal and CRPF quota for KEAM must submit a certificate from the Sainik welfare society stating that the student is from Kerala and has his/her parent working in the military or defence service and should indicate the current working station of the parent and a proof that the student’s parent is working or has worked with the CRPF organization.

KEAM offers seat reservation for SC, ST and Socially and Educationally Backward Classes. Under the Socially and Educationally Backward Classes, there is a 3% reservation for Latin Catholic and Anglo Indian and 1% reservation for Other Backward Christian.
