NEET Biology class 12 syllabus is based on 13 chapters from five units. All the units are equally important for NEET exam. Reproduction, Genetics and Evolution, Biology and Human Welfare, Biotechnology and its applications, Ecology and Environment are five units of class 12 Biology syllabus.
The conducting authorities have revised the syllabus by removing some chapters. Reproduction in Organisms, Strategies of enhancement of food production and Environmental Issues are three chapters that have been deleted from class 12 Biology syllabus.
Human Reproduction, Genetics and Evolution are two highest weightage units. Chapters like Human Health and Diseases, Biotechnology- Principles and Processes and Biotechnology and its applications also carry a weightage of 4-5 questions each.
NEET Biology class 12 syllabus overall weightage is more than class 11 chapters. Class 12 Biology syllabus carries 70% of weightage in NEET exam. Therefore, an effective preparation strategy is required for it. You should also solve NEET Biology previous year papers and Mock tests to build speed and accuracy.

NEET Exam Pattern 2024 Marks Distribution
NEET 2024 Biology has four sections, two in each Botany and Zoology. Botany section A has 35 questions and section B has 15 questions. Out of 15 questions, you have to answer 10 questions. Similarly, the Zoology section has 35 and 15 questions in section A and B respectively. 10 out of 15 questions have to be answered in section B.
NEET 2024 questions carry 4 marks each and one mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. Therefore, it is advised to fill the OMR sheet carefully during the examination.

NEET Biology 2024 Preparation Tips, Important Books and Previous Year Papers
The biology section holds significant weightage in the NEET-UG exam, thus an effective preparation strategy is a must. A total of 100 questions (90 to be attempted) of 360 marks are asked in NEET Biology section. Some of the effective preparation tips for the NEET biology section are mentioned below.
- Refer to the NCERT books. The candidates must study the detailed NEET Biology syllabus and revise all the topics at least twice before NEET 2024 exam.

Not completely but some topics of class 11 biology consistes in class 12 syllabus.
I'm starting my NEET 2024 revision just 10 days before the exam. Is it possible to cover everything in such a short time?
