NEET Punjab Counselling 2025- Check Notification Pdf, Registration, Merit List and Round Wise cutoff

The NEET Punjab counselling 2025 is expected to start from 4th week of July 2025 or the first week of August 2025. Basically the counselling is conducted a few months after the NEET result is declared. The actual date will be announced by BFUHS, Faridkot ( State Counselling Authority) on Punjab NEET counselling official website : bfuhs.ac.in.

The NEET Punjab Counselling 2025 seat allocation will be done based on multiple quotas :

• 15% of the total seats in Government medical and dental colleges are reserved for the AIQ; they are filled through centralized counselling, and are open for applicants from any state of India
• The remaining 85% of seats in the government institutes are reserved for Punjab Domicile candidates and are filled through state-level counselling under BFUHS.
• The seat reservation for Punjab varies across different categories, including 15% for SC, 7.5 % for ST, 27% for OBC, 10% for EWS and 10% for BC.

Additionally, around 5% of seats are reserved for PwD candidates across all the categories.

NEET Punjab Counselling Seat Matrix 2025

The seat matrix for Punjab NEET Counselling 2025 includes all the government and private medical colleges of the state. The seat allocation will be done as per the official guidelines of the Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS), and an update to the matrix will be provided before every round of counselling.

What is the seat matrix in NEET Punjab Counselling 2025?

It is expected that around 13 medical colleges will participate in Punjab NEET Counseling 2025, offering 1850 MBBS seats. Out of these, 5 are Government colleges offering nearly 850 seats, while the remaining 8 are Private colleges offering another 1,000 seats roughly. These seats get distributed amongst eligible candidates based on NEET marks, reservation category, and domicile status, always as per the BFUHS regulations.

Government Medical Colleges in Punjab

Students can secure MBBS seats through NEET Punjab counselling 2025 at various Government Medical Colleges in Punjab. The admissions for these seats are done through AIQ and State Quota as per the rules set forth by the MCC and BFUHS. AIIMS Bathinda, along with the state medical colleges in Amritsar, Patiala, Faridkot, and Mohali, are some of the distinguished colleges.

How many government medical colleges are there in Punjab?

There are 5 Government colleges offering 850 MBBS seats. Among these 5 colleges The Universities consist of AIIMS Bathinda, Government Medical College, Guru Gobind Singh Medical College Faridkot, Government Medical College Patiala, and Dr. B R Ambedkar State Institute of Medical Sciences. Each of the universities offers anywhere between 100 to 250 seats per admission to fill different hospitals' needs.

Private Medical Colleges in Punjab

Similarly there are 8 private medical colleges in Punjab with a total of 1000 seats. These include Adesh Institute of Medical Sciences & Research,Chintpurni Medical College, Sri Guru Ram Das Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, Gian Sagar Medical College & Hospital and Punjab Institute of Medical Sciences with a maximum of 150 seats each. Then comes Christian Medical College , Dayanand Medical College & Hospital with 100 seats each. RIMT Medical College and Hospital has the lowest seat of only 50 seats.

Dental Colleges in Punjab

In Punjab, there are 2 governments and the other 14 are private, a total of 16 dental colleges. Government colleges, from Amritsar and Patiala,have 50 seats each. Private colleges have a wider range, with some offering as low as 40 and others going as high as 100 seats per college. Some of the best private institutions include the Adesh Institute of Dental Sciences & Research, Desh Bhagat Dental College & Hospital, and Gian Sagar Dental College.

Punjab NEET Counselling Fee 2025

The NEET Punjab counselling 2025 fees is based on the nature of the institution.

• Candidates applying to the government medical college are required to remit fees of Rs 10,000; however, it is refundable in case a seat is not allotted.
• For private colleges, this fee amount is Rs. 1,00,000, also refundable under the same conditions.
