Are you getting ready for the NEET 2025 exam? Understanding the chapter-wise weightage is like having a map for your preparation journey. NEET Chemistry syllabus is divided into Inorganic, Physical, and Organic sections. Knowing which chapters have more weightage can make your study plan more effective. The chemistry section of NEET has 45 questions. The three sub-sections of Chemistry; Inorganic, Organic and Physical, have nearly equal weightage in the question paper. Candidates can refer to the table below to know the weightage of individual chapters. Know the NEET Chemistry chapter-wise weightage.

The NEET 2025 exam is likely to be conducted by NTA in the first week of May 2025. The NEET 2025 syllabus is expected to remain the same as last year, which underwent major changes. Over 14 units are included in the NEET Chemistry class 11 syllabus. A few important topics from class 11’s Physical Chemistry topics are Basic Concepts of Chemistry, Chemical Bonding, and Chemical Equilibrium. Thermodynamics, Chemical Equilibrium, Chemical Bonding and Molecular Structure have the highest weightage of 8%, 6%, and 5% respectively.

NEET Chemistry class 12 syllabus includes 16 chapters. Chemical Kinetics from Physical Chemistry and Co-ordination Compounds from Inorganic Chemistry are important topics. Coordination Compounds have the highest weightage of 9%. p-Block Elements carry an equal weightage of 5% of questions.

Important Chapters in NEET Chemistry 2025

There are many chapters which are more important for NEET Chemistry as compared to less important chapters. You must focus on the important chapter since the chances of getting questions are maximum.

Inorganic Chemistry – This section consists of approximately 10-18 questions majorly from topics like

  • p-block, and s-block
