NEET 2025 Exam Day Guideline include important information such as instructions for dress code, documents to carry, list of banned items, code of conduct, exam day schedule and other details.

NTA released the NEET 2025 exam day guidelines on its official website. Candidates must follow these guideline to make sure they don’t make any mistakes or forget any important document on the exam day which might make them miss their exam.

Candidates should make sure to reach the exam hall at least an hour before the exam time mentioned on the NEET Admit Card 2025. Important things to carry for the NEET exam include:

  • Admit card
  • Passport size picture
  • Government IDs
  • Registration number.

The NEET 2025 Exam is scheduled to be held on May 4 and NEET Admit Card 2025 has been released on May 1, 2025. What documents are required for NEET 2025 exam day?

The documents required to be carried on NEET 2025 Exam day includes an original valid photo identification proof (e.g., Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Voter ID, Driving License, or Passport), and passport size photographs that are exactly the same as the ones they used in the application. The NEET 2025 Admit Card and Self Declaration Form are two of the most important documents to carry on the exam day. 

Candidate’s entry in the examination hall will be prohibited in case any of these documents is missing.

NEET 2025 Exam Day Guidelines Dress Code

To ensure fairness and avoid malpractices, the NTA enforces a strict dress code for NEET 2025 exam.

For Male Candidates For Female Candidates
Clothing: Wear light-colored shirts with half sleeves. Steer clear of clothes with large buttons, brooches, badges, or any decorative features. Clothing: Select light-colored outfits with half sleeves. Traditional attire like sarees is not recommended. If opting for a salwar or churidar, make sure there are no embellishments.
Trousers: Choose simple trousers or pants. Avoid cargo pants or any attire with multiple pockets. Hijab/ burkha: Candidates who wear a hijab or burkha for religious purposes are allowed but may face additional security checks.
Footwear: Wear open-toed sandals or slippers. Closed shoes or footwear with thick soles are not allowed. Footwear: Choose sandals or slippers without heels. Avoid shoes or any footwear that covers the entire foot.

NEET 2025 Exam Day Items Allowed

The NEET 2025 appearing candidates are allowed to carry the following items into the examination hall including the important documents.

What to Do if You Face Technical Issues During NEET 2025 Exam Day?

If you face any technical issue, here are some things to do during the NEET exam:

  • Stay calm and inform the invigilator: If you face any technical issues such as a computer crash or a power outage, stay calm and immediately notify the invigilator present in the exam hall.
  • Follow the instructions given by the invigilator: The invigilator will guide you on what steps to take next.
  • Wait for the technical issue to be resolved: In most cases, technical issues can be resolved within a few minutes.
  • Use the extra time given: If the technical issue takes a long time to resolve, the exam authorities may give you extra time to complete the exam. 
  • Request for a backup system: If the computer or device you were using has completely failed, request the invigilator for a backup system. 
  • Document the issue: If you face any technical issues during the exam, make sure to document them by taking pictures or writing down the details. This can be used as proof in case of any dispute.
  • Report the issue to the authorities: After the exam, report the technical issue to the exam authorities. They may investigate the matter and take appropriate action.

What are the NEET 2025 Exam Day Guidelines Do’s and Don’ts?

Do’s Don’ts
Arrive at the exam center well before the specified time. Do not arrive after the mentioned reporting time. You will not be allowed to enter.
Carry the colored printout of NEET 2025 admit card. Do not carry prohibited items in any case.
Follow the NEET Dress Code 2025. Do not wear long-sleeved clothes, shoes, or accessories prohibited in the dress code.
Find your allotted seat and sit in a disciplined manner upon entering the exam hall. Do not change seats with other candidates and avoid any unnecessary movement during the exam.
Use the ballpoint pen given by the authorities in your OMR sheet. Do not carry pens, pencils, or pencil box into the exam hall.
Fill in the details on both sides of the OMR answer sheet cautiously. Do not scribble on the OMR sheet.
Hand over the OMR sheet to the invigilator before exiting the exam room. Do not leave the exam hall before the exam is over.
Be disciplined throughout the exam. Do not talk to any other candidate during the exam.
Do as your invigilators say. Do not use any unfair means or practices.
