NEET total marks is 720, out of which biology questions are for 360 marks and physics and chemistry are for 180 marks each. The Biology NEET exam pattern is further divided into zoology and botany. 

To clarify the NEET exam pattern, the NTA provided the following instructions:

  • Section A includes 35 compulsory questions in each subject, numbered from 001 to 035, 051 to 085, 101 to 135, and 151 to 185.
  • Section B comprises 15 questions in each subject, numbered from 036 to 050, 086 to 100, 136 to 150, and 186 to 200. Candidates must attempt any 10 questions out of these 15 in each subject.
  • Candidates were advised to carefully read all 15 questions in Section B of each subject before attempting the question paper. If a candidate attempts more than 10 questions, only the first 10 answered will be evaluated.
