The Gujarat NEET Counselling 2025 is expected to begin around the 3rd week of June 2025, once the NEET 2025 results are announced. ACPUGMEC, Gujarat will conduct the counselling process and candidates can get details of counselling from their official website.

The seat allotment process takes place for different types of categories for Gujarat NEET counselling in 2025 to maintain transparency and fairness in the admission process.

  • 85% State Quota: This is reserved for candidates with Gujarat domicile status and filled through a state-level counselling conducted by ACPUGMEC.
  • 15% AIQ (All India Quota): Under AIQ, several seats are reserved for government medical and dental colleges in Gujarat. These seats are offered to candidates from all states and are filled via MCC.
  • Seat reservation for other categories varies like 7% reserved for SC, 15% for ST, and 10% for EWS.

Other than the above reservation 5% of seats are reserved for candidates with PwDs across all categories, and other quotas such as Government School Quota (GSQ), Ex-Servicemen Quota, and Local ST Quota are applicable to respective institutions.

NEET Gujarat Counselling 2025 online application and document verification will begin from 3rd week of June 2025. The merit list for NEET Counselling 2025 in Gujarat will be released in the first week of July, choice filling and lock-in for Round 1 will be from 2nd week July 2025. Seat allocation results will be announced during the third week of July and the short-listed students are required to join their respective colleges within the fourth week of July 2025.

Gujarat NEET Counselling Eligibility Criteria 2025

  • Citizenship: Candidates must be Indian citizens only; NRIs may apply under the NRI quota. OCIs and PIOs, along with foreigners, can only apply to deemed universities and not for state quota seats.
  • Domicile: Applicants should be residents of Gujarat. To avail the 85% state quota, candidates must complete both class 10 and 12 in Gujarat or possess a domicile certificate if studied outside. NRIs must have valid NRI documents to secure private college seats.
  • Age: Applicants must be a minimum of 17 years by December 31, 2025.
  • Academic Qualification: Class 12th with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English. Minimum marks in PCB: 50% (General), 40% (SC/ST/OBC). 45% (PwD General). Other boards need to have a Gujarat Domicile for candidature.
  • NEET Qualification: Must qualify NEET 2025 with 50th percentile (General), 40th percentile (SC/ST/OBC), and 45th percentile (PwD General).

The NEET Gujarat Counselling 2025 fees varies for different types of colleges.

Government medical colleges provide very affordable fees for the state quota seats (an amount of ₹25,000 per annum), whereas fee structures in private colleges or self-financed institutes are higher, probably from around ₹5 lakhs to ₹30 lakhs per annum, depending on the institute and the type of quota.

Fees for seats in the NRI quota are near about 22,000 US dollars, which probably means a premium to be charged from overseas candidates.
