The DMET is expected to conduct the UP NEET Counselling in August 2025.  Candidates who will qualify for NEET 2025, which was conducted on 5th May, 2025, and belong to UP residency will be eligible to participate.

The UP NEET Counselling process will include online registration, choice filling, seat allotment and document verification on the official website of UP NEET Counselling, upneet.gov.in.

  • For UP NEET Counselling 2025, there is a registration fee of Rs 1000 for the general category and Rs 500 for SC/ST/OBC category candidates. Candidates have to pay a refundable security deposit of Rs 2,00,000, which depends on the type of seat a candidate is going for.
  • Uttar Pradesh offers more than 6,300 MBBS Seats, with 2,250 seats in both government and private dental colleges. Including more than 3,000 MBBS seats in government colleges and 3,300 in private colleges.

The UP NEET Counselling process will include Round 1, Round 2, Mop-Up Round and Stray Vacancy round. The seat allotment will depend on the candidate's NEET Rank, preference and category-wise eligibility.

In UP NEET Counselling 2024, more than 1.94 lakh candidates registered, of which more than 37,000 candidates were allotted MBBS and BDS Seats in various rounds.

In UP NEET Counselling 2025, it is expected to have more candidate participation as the number of candidates appearing has increased with the increase in demand for medical seats.

How many registrations are in NEET 2025?

More than 23 lakh candidates registered for the NEET UG 2025 Exam, which is a decrease of around 1 lakh registrations of students as compared to around 24.06 lakhs candidates in 2024.

UP NEET Counselling 2025 Choice Filling Process

Upon successfully registering and verifying your documents, candidates must fill out their preferred colleges and courses during the choice filling round.

The choice filling process is extremely important because seat allotment depends upon the choices that were filled out, the candidate's NEET rank, and the availability of seats.

There wasn't any provision for the relaxation of counseling fees. A candidate needs to pay the registration fee at the beginning.
