Minimum Marks in NEET for Veterinary for OBC Category- Expected Qualifying Marks, Previous Year Cutoff Marks

The NTA is going to publish NEET 2025 results including for Veterinary programs and it is expected to be declared by 14th of June 2025. The result will be released in the form of score and merit list and the admission cutoff will be released on the basis of All India Counselling of MCC.

The NEET 2025 for veterinary program is expected to vary for candidates belonging to diverse categories. For candidates from the OBC category, the NEET cutoff is expected to be between 163 and 129 marks. However for candidates from the OBC - PH category, the expected NEET cutoff 2025 lies within the range of 145 and 129. Candidates must register for NEET 2025 counselling so that they can be eligible for admission through the Veterinary NEET 2025 cutoff.

Although the NEET 2025 cutoff has not been released yet, candidates can refer to the below table to know the expected NEET 2025 cutoff for Veterinary programs. According to previous trends , the expected minimum marks in NEET for Veterinary for OBC category is expected to be around 163-129 and for OBC-PH it is around 145-129. The qualifying percentile is around 40th percentile means OBC candidates need to score at least or better than 40% of other candidates.

NEET Previous Years Cutoff for Veterinary Courses

Students can refer to the NEET cutoffs for previous years for veterinary courses. In 2024 minimum marks in NEET for Veterinary for OBC category was 161 - 127 and the cutoff for OBC & PH candidates was 143 - 127. Across all the three years ( 2022-2024), the cutoff percentile remains the same at 40th percentile, this indicates that the percentile eligibility criteria has not been changed for the OBC category.

For OBC:

• 2023 vs 2022: Increase of 20-14 marks
• 2024 vs 2023: Increase of 25-20 marks

For OBC-PH:

• 2023 vs 2022: increase of 16 to 14 marks
• 2024 vs 2023: Increase of 23 to 20 marks

This shows there is a continuous increase in cutoff marks on yearly basis due to increase in number of candidates and competition.

As per the below table it can be seen that there is net increase in minimum marks in NEET for Veterinary for OBC category from 2019-2025(est) i,e moved from 133 to 163 ( +30 marks). This shows there is a steady increase in competition among OBC candidates. After a dip in 2021 and 2022, the cutoff marks has increased, it might be due to fewer seats or strict seat allotment for veterinary programs. As per this trend, in the year 2025 it is expected that the required mark will remain high. Candidates need to score 165+ to say in competition and can secure a seat in the Veterinary program.
