In the First semester I pay 40800 and in my second semester I pay 38300. and I listen from senior that every semester fee will be around 38300. The above mentioned fee for a SC students. I have not got any scholarship but friend get some scholarship like NSP and FFE.

The fee structure of my college is very complex. The students of category general/obc have to pay 153000 for the autumn semester and 138000 for the spring semester. For those students who belongs to the category of sc/st have to pay 53000 for the autumn semester and 38000 for the spring semester. The scholarships provided by my college includes fee waiver and nsp.

Some academics issues like some courses which doesn't even relate to the field are also included in the curriculum.

Fees and Financial Aid:

There is different fee for both semester in a year like the first semester has more fee compared to the second one . The first semester has fee around 1.5 lakhs and the second one has around 1.3-1.4 Lakhs . In the total fee per semester 1Lakhs is the tution fee, 5000 is the hostel charges, 25000 is the mess charges and rest they take as some maintainence charges and medical insurance. For the general category, EWS and OBC category students have to pay the complete fee whereas for the SC/ST candidates the tution fee is waived off, hence their total fee per semester comes out to be around 40K-50K. Our institute provide scholarships as well, for ex:- Merit cum Fee waiver is given to those whose family income is less than 5 lakhs , in which one-third of the tuition fee is waived off. Some other scholarships also be given on the basis of merit .

Being a government college, the fees are noiminal. Around 40k for a semester. Scholarships are avialable for meritorious students. MCM scholarship is popular. One important thing that my friends told me is that the Mechanical Engineering Department at IIT BHU is one of the strictest departments in India. It makes the students question their own potential. I would suggest you choose IIT Roorkee Civil as it offers the same facilities and placements as IIT BHU Mechanical. Moreover, the Civil department at IITR is not as strict as the Mechanical department at IIT BHU.

Though all the options mentioned by you are equally good, I am mentioning below the highlights of B.Tech Electrical at IIT Roorkee-

The Electrical Engineering department of IIT Roorkee offers excellent placements. Top core, finance, and consulting companies visit the department for recruitments.

During 2023, IIT Roorkee recorded the highest package of INR 1.3 CPA, and the highest international package of INR 1.06 CPA. Total 63 recruiters visited the campus with 500 job offers. Some of the top recruiters for the placement season were- BCG, Bajaj Auto, Flipkart, and Tata Steel.

During 2024, Flipkart offered a package of INR 34 LPA, and the position of Software Developer. This offer was open to B.Tech CSE, Electrical and ECE students.
