Established in 2016, Indian Institute of Technology Goa (IIT Goa) is the youngest autonomous public university located in Goa. IIT Goa campus is located in Farmagudi, Goa, the state capital, and is only temporary. The Goa Engineering College (GEC) Campus serves as the temporary campus and operational center for IIT Goa. The MHRD has granted the Goa Government permission to establish a permanent campus on land measuring approximately 320 acres in the Guleli village panchayat in North Goa's Sattari sub-district.
IIT Goa also has a College Band, a Photography Club, a Design Club, an Oratory Club, a Literature Club, a Dramatic Club, a Fine Arts Club, a Music Club, and a Dance Club. It has also established clubs for technological pursuits, such as the Economics Club, Robotics Club, and Programming Club. Several intra-college events were planned by the students, including a sports-focused intra-college festival called "Chakravyuh" and a sports-cultural intra-college festival called Flock in the institution's early years.
IIT Goa has a Medical Management Committee with a Hospital team consisting of One Medical Officer, a consultant Physician, and two staff Nurses. It also provides Bus, Cab, and transport facilities. Merit Cum Means Scholarship: A maximum of 25% of applicants accepted into the B.Tech degree will receive the Merit Cum Means Scholarship. The MCM Scholarship is awarded based on a candidate's academic performance in the 12th grade as well as their family's income. The complete tuition charge is waived for the chosen students, and they are also granted a pocket allowance of INR 1000 every month. Basically we opt for the colleges we want to attend during the josaa counselling in the prioritising order based on our rank we get college. To apply to this josaa counselling we need to qualify JEE main as well as JEE advance only then you are eligible for josaa counselling

The eligibility criteria usually include passing the 10+2 equivalent examination with minimum marks as well as jee main exam. application for the JEE Advanced and application dates can be found on the official website of the exam .fee may vary foe different categories of candidates. Reservation benifits are provided for SC,ST,OBC,and EWS as per government of india norms and Details are available on the information brochure. Cutof also varies for different categorires of students.sc,st students get most benefit.

Admission:

I have got the admission by writing JEE MAINS and ADVANCED. The counselling is through JOSAA. To apply for the jee mains go to jeemain.nta.ac.in and there will be two attempts to write jee and you need to get a minimum percentile to qualify to write JEE ADVANCED and in JEE ADVANCED you need to score a good rank to get into an IIT ( rank varies depending on the reservation you have). I belong to general category so I had no reservation. The counselling is through JOSAA which has 6 rounds which wil start after the delaration of results of ADVANCED. so basically to get into an IIT, the procedure is simple, there are jee advanced and jee mains which are conducted on a national level, so if anyone wants to register for the jee mains, they can apply for jee mains in the website of nta.aic.in. there are two phases of jee mains and if you qualify in any one of the phases which depends on the reservation, eligible criteria on merit. so basically you get into a nit through your merit from mains or register in jee advanced and qualify in that exam to get into an IIT.

The food quality of maths hair is good. It may not be good as your home but it is better than mess of other IIT as per my experience.

Admission:

For this course,e we have to qualify for JEE main as well as JEE advance with a rank better than 15000. Rank requirements may vary according to your category it is nearly 20000 for OBC and even less for SC, and ST. To get admission to any IIT, we must have to secure 75% in the 12th board exam. You can get an application form for JEE main from that website when released, nearly in the month of December. Those who qualified for JEE mains can apply for an advance which is conducted by IIT. There is a space reservation for SC St OBC, EWS, and PWD candidates. There is a special reservation for girls which is about 30% of the total seats in each course.

Merit Cum Means Scholarship:

The Merit Cum Means Scholarship is awarded to a maximum of 25% of students admitted to the B.Tech program.
The MCM Scholarship is based on the family income and the scores of candidates in the entrance and the 12th standard as well.
The selected students are exempted from the payment of the full tuition fee and also, the students are given a pocket allowance of INR 1000 per month.
Although, proof of annual family income is required to be submitted.
The SC/ST category students are given the benefit of free messing under the MCM Scholarship.

Central Sector Scholarship Scheme for Top Class Education for SC students:

A total of 12 scholarships are given to the students of Engineering and Technology and 10 to the students of Management by the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, GOI.

The total annual family income should not be more than INR 4.5 lakhs.
The basic documents required for the scholarship are as follows.
- Copy of Caste Certificate.
- Bank Account Number.
- Copy of AADHAR Card.
- Copy of proof of admission to IIT Goa.
- Copy of Hostel Fee and Mess Advance.

Yes, the option of changing branches is available for the students at IIT Goa. But there are some conditions for the same.

These conditions are as follows-

Students can change their branch only after the completion of first year (Both Semesters).
All the prescribed courses in the first year must be completed with the required credits. They must not have a backlog in any of their subjects from the first year.
They must not be charged with any sort of misconduct, or else, they’ll lose the opportunity of branch change.
General, Gen-EWS and OBC NCL students must have a min. SPI (Semester Performance Index) of 8 in their 2nd sem. SC, ST, PWD students must have a min. SPI of 7 in their 2nd sem to be eligible for a branch switch.
