Life at IIT ROORKEE is great

My yearly fees is around 300000 but I got two scholarship in behalf of my parents annual income and my cgpa.so currently inhave to pay only hostel and mess fees. The fees for sc st candidates is totally 0 if they got free messing scheme too.

Life at IIT Roorkee

While studying some courses feel irrelevant with the jobs available.

In IIT Roorkee the fees is 1,38000 rs. Per semester for a normal student but most of the students get relaxation either dur to their caste or their income status . As IIT roorkee provides a lots of scholarship SC/ST students only have to pay 38000 INR. They also provide scholarship like MCM which are based on merit.

The course structure is very well maintained and I think the load is very less because the professor know in the end they will do their work.

I am paying almost 280000 per year in which tution fees is 200000, hostel and food fees 46500 and exams fees and registration fees are 33500. There are a lot of scholarship available like tution fee waiver if your annual income is less than 100000 you will get 100% off in tution fees, and if your annual income in between 1lakh-5 lakh you will get 2/3rd off on your tution fee. Apart from that we have one more scholarship named MCM in which you have to maintain your cg above 7 and your annual income should less than 5 lakhs.

IIT Roorkee Detailed Review

Year wise tuition fee is 200,000 but there are some other charges like insurance , maintenance etc, so total fee to be paid is 221,100. If someone avails hostel and mess facilies , the charges are as follows : Hostel Rent: 10000 per year. Mess Charges: 46500 per year. For SC/ST category , tuition fee is waived . So they only have to pay Hostel and mess charges if they are availing it. Scholarships: Fee waiver is available for GEN/OBC /EWS students having family income <800,000 rupees. 2/3 of total tuition fee is waived if income is between 1lakh and 8lakh . If its less than 1 lakh , the total tuition fee is waived. MCM Scholarship: This scholarship is only available to 25% students having family income less than 8lakh.They get tuition fee waived off and also get 1000 per month for 10 month.

IITs are very considerate with educational opportunities for the less privileged there are ample opportunities and scholarships and fee reduction. for people belonging to economically weaker sections theres 2/3rd fee waivers. students belonging to sc st have full fee reduction

Fee structures are just like any private college in the market. It's around 1200000 for the complete course adn financial aids are available on the basis of caste,economic condition and rank in JEE Advanced.

My college also provides the great hostel facilities specially the concept of single room which enhanced my college experience. I also like how academics is managed without any burden semester course might be not that tough.

Tuition fees is about 1lac for sem and it also gives a fee waiver on income based like for income less or equal to 1 lac tuition fee is 0, for 1lac-4lac its 2/3rd and for 4lac> is 1lac. Also provides scholarship like MCM means if your cgpa is 7 or greater you get 10000 a sem. For sc/st tuition fee is 0.
