- Knowledgeable faculty members who provide deep insights into conceptual knowledge.
Dislikes
- Often there is rigidity in the education protocols. Needs to be more liberal.
- Less Integration and exposure of undergrad students into research works.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Course curriculum is very comprehensive and includes adequate and comprehensive practical work and onsite visits. Thus, we are well prepeared to face the real world challenges. The exams - minors and majors are well designed and helps us to judge our level of understanding of the core concepts.
Internships Opportunities :
We get internship opportunities at many companies. Personally I chose to get internship via my own connections at Omaxe Builders for onsite civil engineering experience of construction of apartments. Also, one intership was done at UP-PWD for bridge construction in Lucknow. No stipend was offered in these.
Placement Experience :
Placements are good. Specially Computer Science guys get high package. Core sector companies also visit the college. Even many PSUs come to college to recruit. Even without a campus placement, lot of opportunities for off campus placement with an IIT tag and a strong alumni network.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Being a government college, the fees are noiminal. Around 40k for a semester. Scholarships are avialable for meritorious students. MCM scholarship is popular. Also, for reserved category of students, there are many scholarships and fee wavier. Students can avail intership opportunities via a strong alumni network.
Campus Life :
Overall campus life was good. Many societies for extracurricular development. NSS, NSO, NCC verticals are very well developed with a healthy interaction of seniors and juniors. Infrastructure is good. Big parks, gym, sports infra, good labs, big and high tech classrooms and much more.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel facility was good for 2nd, 3rd and 4th year. It was affordable. Food quality was good and provided a good refreshment for students. Further, we had high speed internet and places to socialise in the hostel. Good facilities to suppor the students.
Admission :
Admission process was smooth. It was via IIT-JEE exam. The top rankers got into the best courses of the college. For My course of civil engineering you need to get a rank of around 2500. Exam frequency - Held every year. The Admission process was onile+Offline. Hence we had opportunity to visit and see the lush green campus. Support team was good.
Faculty :
The faculty is highly experienced and knowledgeable. The faculty to student ratio is not that good and this hinders 1:1 interaction and personal mentorship experience. The way of teaching and lab works are very good. The teachers are available to guide but you need to be pro-active to extract guidance from them.
