RIT Roorkee Admission Dates 2026

Admissions for the 2026-27 academic session are anchored by JEE Main and the Uttarakhand State Entrance Examination (UKSEE). Both sessions of JEE Main 2026 were held in January and April 2026. State counselling through UKSEE and UTU is ongoing through the September to October 2026 window for remaining seats.

B.Tech CSE with Artificial Intelligence carries the highest fee at INR 8.40 Lakhs total. Among management programmes, the GMBA costs INR 5.00 Lakhs total over two years.

RIT Roorkee Admission Process

B.Tech Admission

B.Tech admission at RIT Roorkee is open to candidates who have cleared 10+2 with at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Candidates must hold a valid score in one of the following entrance exams:

• UKSEE (Uttarakhand state-level engineering entrance)

MBA Admission

MBA programmes admit candidates holding a graduation degree with at least 50% marks. Valid scores in CAT, MAT, ATMA, CMAT, or UKCET are required. The selection process includes score-based shortlisting followed by a personal interview and group discussion round conducted by the institute.

The nine MBA specialisations are allotted based on merit and preference at the time of admission. The GMBA programme targets candidates with prior work experience or international career goals and carries a higher fee of INR 5.00 Lakhs total.

M.Tech, MCA, and Other PG Programmes

M.Tech admission requires a valid GATE score in the relevant paper. Direct admission is available for candidates with an exceptional B.Tech academic record. MCA admits through CUET PG or NIMCET, with a mathematics background mandatory in graduation.

Allied Health Sciences and Agriculture

BPT, BMRIT, B.Sc MLT, B.Sc Medical Microbiology, B.Sc Optometry, and Bachelor of Operation Theatre Technology programmes admit candidates through direct merit-based admission on 10+2 PCB performance. B.Sc Agriculture accepts CUET UG scores and direct merit admission. B.Ed follows the NCTE-prescribed process for Uttarakhand, requiring a graduation degree with 50%.

RIT Roorkee Placements

RIT Roorkee placements for the most recent graduating batch recorded a highest package of INR 22 LPA and an average package of INR 8 LPA. Over 200 recruiters participated across technology, finance, and manufacturing sectors. The placement cell reported 170 students placed from the outgoing B.Tech batch.

Top recruiters confirmed through institute placement data include Microsoft, Netflix, Salesforce, KPMG, EY, Finastra, Voltas, Juspay, and Byju’s. The institute maintains training partnerships with KPMG, IBM, Grant Thornton, Microsoft, and IIT Roorkee for pre-placement skill development. CSE and AI/ML branches account for the majority of high-value offers. RIT Roorkee does not currently appear in major management or university-level NIRF categories. The Engineering NIRF participation covers B.Tech programmes under the AICTE-approved private engineering college category in Uttarakhand.

RIT Roorkee Campus and Infrastructure

RIT Roorkee is spread across a 30-acre green campus on National Highway 344, 7 km from Roorkee city in Uttarakhand. The campus location gives students access to the IIT Roorkee research ecosystem and the Roorkee cantonment area for industry connects.

The campus features smart classrooms, a 210-seat auditorium, and research labs established in partnership with Apple, Texas Instruments, BOSCH, and E-Ashwa (EV lab). The ECOSENSE lab supports environment-technology projects. CSE and ECE students access Apple-certified computing infrastructure.
