Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must have passed class 12 from any recognized board. Candidates having passed any exam equivalent to class 12 are also eligible to apply.
The candidate should have secured at least 75% marks in the Class 12 examination conducted by the respective Boards. For SC/ST candidates the qualifying marks would be 65% in the Class 12/qualifying examination. The candidate is also required to pass each of the subjects of the Class 12 / qualifying examination.
Students need to qualify for the JEE examination

- Inside the campus its like another world totally different from outside with everything you need
- I met very talented people inside the campus and was exposed to a variety of fields.
Dislikes
- It is in a remote area so you cannot find many things like in other iits which are at urban locality
- If you are not from west bengal than outside campus you might find difficulty in conversation
Course Curriculum Overview:
My course is a mix of mathematics nad computer science so it opens a wide amount of opportunities in both the fields including it, research finance and data. Some of the coirse are old but yet very crucial for research point of view Exams usually happens after 2 months and are easy if you start serious study 2 weeks prior to your exam. Some improvements like adding more computer science part is required else the course is good

- Infrastructure is sophisticated in the campus , we have big campus and pleasant air.
- Course Curriculum and Real world problems and case studies through societies
Dislikes
- Hostel facilities can be better as there are lot of students in the college.
Course Curriculum Overview:
Our Course Curriculum is perfectly scheduled and we have multi disciplinary. Projects and all subjects are involved to learn and compete with real world challenges. We have Curriculum and subjects similar to CSE, this influenced me to choose. We have 79 students in the class evaluation is done based on mid sem and end sem and class tests. The Exam difficulty is moderate and much similar to the class topics.

- Campus Life here is one of the best. It provides opportunities for personal developments.
- The campus is best. Lush green campus and so big.
Dislikes
- The girl and boy ratio here is very low.
- Lot of students are here so crowded places it get.
Course Curriculum Overview:
I choose my branch - BS MATHEMATICS AND COMPUTING. because I had perticular intrest in this mathematics field and in the future this branch have immense potential. Currently my batch have 67 students and we have 5 branch faculty. Because this is iit, all the faculties are world class, they are best in their fields. Terms exams are not tougher side but constant study can easily surpass this.

- Some of the facilities are not able to teach
- With the best of their ability. They are knowledgeable
Course Curriculum Overview:
Excellent course curriculum and I chose this course because I wish to work in quant companies and hopefully they take students from mathematics and Computing. Faculty is really experienced and all exams are taken on time
Likes
- I liked Campus particularly. Campus is so neat and green.
- Infrastructure. Old Infrastructure and large campus attract every people in the campus.
Dislikes
- Mess Food. Mess Food is only satisfying and sometimes worse.
- Hostel Room. Cleaning facilities are bad.
Course Curriculum Overview:
I have an interest in Mathematics along with Computer Algorithms. The Course Curriculum is quite hard but if one studies regularly, he can easily get a CGPA of 8.5. Faculties are extremely talented in their field of specialization. Term exams happen every 4 months and are quite easy to pass.

- I like the environment, teachers , the curriculum and the brotherhood we have here.
Dislikes
- I dislike the distance between the classes and halls.
Course Curriculum Overview:
I didn't want to go into the circuital or core field. That's why I opted for this course. This course has mathematics along with AI and machine learning. The faculties are good, they have a huge amount of knowledge, and also they have great experience. They give in their full efforts. There are two main exams - the first one is the midsem which is of 30% weightage and is quite easy, and the next one is the endsem exams which are a bit tough and contribute to 50% weightage.

- The academics, courses offered are amazing and relevant
- The clubs, societies and cells help in character development
Dislikes
- The mess food is not up to the mark and the nutrition is also not good
- Some hostels are old and need renovation
Course Curriculum Overview:
I chose this course as it was the best fitting as per my interests and my priorities. Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and computing as IIT Kharagpur is a nice blend of theoretical mathematics and Computer science courses at the same time. Term exams are taken twice a semester including mid semester exams and end semester exams.
