Course Curriculum Overview :

I choose my branch - BS MATHEMATICS AND COMPUTING. because I had perticular intrest in this mathematics field and in the future this branch have immense potential. Currently my batch have 67 students and we have 5 branch faculty. Because this is iit, all the faculties are world class, they are best in their fields. Terms exams are not tougher side but constant study can easily surpass this.

Class Size : 93Course Fees : INR 140000 per year

Our college has one of the best campus placement in india. Students from final and pre final year are eligible for the placements. Percentage of students placed from every year are nearly 100%. Iit kharagpur provide one of the best placements opportunities.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Cost to study here is typically same as all the engineering colleges in india. Because it is an government college we get some benefits in the fees than private engineering colleges. Also college Provide various scholarships and assistance to students.

Campus Life :

Campus Life is best here. IIT Kharagpur is well known IIT and have world class infrastructure. It is also famous for its various clubs and societies. They provide overall development to students. Along with studies we have best campus Life here.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel are also well in good.Every needed thing is provided here. Bed, cot, table - chair, safe everything. Hostel are also very furnished and clean. Mess meal quality can be improved a bit. Registration process for hostel is Hassel free.

Hostel Fee : INR 35000 per year

Admission :

I applied for this college- IIT KHARAGPUR, through exam- JEE Advance. The cutoff for my branch BS Mathematics and computing was somewhere around AIR- 482. All the application process and exam are managed by NTA. And the addmission is done thorough counselling by JOSAA. Only thing I wanted should be improved is that counselling process should be done smoothly. It was very lengthy and difficult.

IIT kharagpur is the best

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am new to this curriculum but I am happy with my decision. Median package of this year is 21 lakhs in this course and faculty are too friendly. Exams are a little on the tougher side. We will have field trips for the research purpose overall it's a very underrated branch And we can try non core if we want to...since there is a lot of free time

Life in KGP

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is offered by CDC. After completing 2 years you get to sit in CDC interviews for internships, all the top companies for example google, BCG, McKinskey, and may others visits the college. And after 7th semesters you get to sit for placements. The highest packages goes around 2Cr. You opt for any profile SDE, data, consulting, product. I plan to get placed in product management after my degree.

Life At IISER Kolkata

Course Curriculum Overview:

It is a 5 years course. Course are quiet tougher than other B.sc colleges but it will be very effective if you are going in research field. Courses at IISER Kolkata are not like usual curriculum in state or central Universities in India. IISER Kolkata 's academic curriculum is quite similar to that of US and European Universities. The focus of the curriculum is to teach and train us to make us researchers. So the courses are quite relevant if someone wants a career in research. Exams are very frequent in iiser Kolkata, apart from the mid semester and end semester exams, there are regular quizzes/class tests/surprisetests/assignments/grades tutorial problems every week.

IIT KHARGPUR- WORTH IT?

Placement Experience:

from 7th semester (for btech students), 9th semester (for dual degree students) students are eligible for campus placements. there are numerous companies which visit the campus...and generally nearly all students get placed during the placement season, but recently there has been recession and companies are not taking less number of the students than they usually do.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was already very interested in economics. My college has a healthy student to teacher ratio. For every 1teacher there is 4 students. Almost of our faculties have phD and master's done. The faculty is very interactive and makes sure the concepts are clear The exams are fairly standard and the exam timings are optimal.
