Likes
- Safety on the campus is awesome with almost no safety concern.
- Peer group: The peer group and set of students that surround you are the best among the country and the energy inside the campus is amazing.
Dislikes
- The gender ratio is quite bad, very few girl students for such a prestigious institute as IITB
- The hostel rooms for 2nd and 3rd year UG students are very bad.

Placement Experience:
From third semester students are eligible for getting placements. Companies like Cairn India, SLB, Exonn, Halliburton etc come every year for placements. Highest package is around 24 lakhs and average is 13 lakhs. The percentage of students getting placed is very less. After getting degree anyone can give competitive exams like gate for PSUs and GSI and if anybody is interested they can go for phds.

- The campus is very beautiful.The faculty are highly knowledgeable.Hostel room are excellent.Environment of the campus is mind-blowing.
- Facilities other than study is very good.swimming, volleyball, Badminton,Football, Cricket every thing one can enjoy there.excellent Gym Facility also available.Library is also very spacious and one can easily available any book and can renew at home
Dislikes
- Class time should little bit more as one can clear his doubts.Foods provided in the hostels need to be improved.Transport facility needs to be more frequent.During Rainy days it is difficult to get the electric buggy to attend classes.
- More practical classes should be there for better understanding of the structural part.proper internship should be provided to the freshers.the classes should be recorded sothat if someone misses any class then he can attend it online.
Placement Experience:
Final year students are eligible for the campus placement..Indian institute of technology Bombay is one of the most renowned institute in India. Campus placement is excellent here.because it is the no 1 IIT .on an average 8-10 lakh package is normal in iits.some exceptional talents get upto 2crore per year salary.in structural engineering course every year around 90 percentage students get placement incampus and rest are generally not interested in campus placement as they are more focused in higher education like PhD.

- It is a very big campus, have to cover large distance to visit other places
- The parent hostels are not renovated , they are very congested

Because of relative grading in exams, there is some sort of unhealthy competition among batchmates and friends to score more than other. This creates tense environment during the exam time too. The frequency of exam should be reduce , or time for semester should be increase , it will give time for learn something other than subject

- The infrastructure of newly built buildings are much good, but some old hostels are not in a proper condition.
Placement Experience:
The campus placements in the college is amazing. Students from 7th and 8th semester become eligible for campus placement however some gets PPO(pre placement offers) from 6th semester itself. All the renowned companies from all sector be it coding, finance , consultancy, civil, mechanical, electrical visit the company to recruit students. For civil department, the top recruiters are L&T, TATA, RAMBOLL, etc. College Placement 2023 record: Highest : 3.67 crores per annum (internationally) and 1.68 crores per annum (domestically). Average: 21.2 lakhs per annum Median: 19 lakhs per annum. In civil department the percentage of students placed in campus are about 84% (in 2023). People get revruited in core fields(engineering specialisation) or in non-core too. Now , I have not planned much about, but I will sit in campus placement offers as they are really jackpot for one.

- The campus life is really good there are many things here to explore and find your interest. There are several clubs, Tech teams, Sports team and Institute Bodies to explore your interests
- The Academic life here is quiet good. The professors are really Kind and they try to be helpful they organize doubt session encourage doubt asking and group discussion. students are also provided with teaching assistants to ask our doubts
Dislikes
- The thing i hated the most in the begening is the size of hostel rooms we can hardly manage one extra table in a room. Its like a room designed for 1 person and now two people have accommodated in that room
- Another thing which i hate is mess, For any mess the food quality is okish its edible, sometimes its even healthy but not tastes that good especially if you are from north india
Placement Experience:
Placements are good indeed especially for non-core jobs. But the tag of IIT Bombay will help you whatever you pursue further in your life. The placement season is in the last but one semester for every student according to their course. The average package sits around 20 to 25 LPA. All the big companies come for placements so there should be no worry regarding the dream company coming to campus or not. The percentage of students getting placed includes a lot of metrics but according to the recent reports the percent of unemployed students is around 10%. I might pursue higher studies.

- My college placement are good also it provides many opportunities like entrepreneurship , consulting and finance.
- Also the internship students recieve from the placement cell is good.
Dislikes
- Social life in IITB is less compare to other college.
- The campus area is little bit small as compared to a IIT.
Placement Experience:
The placements.of my college is good compared to the other institute. Companies of every profile visits to our campus to offer jobs . Companies like Google, Microsoft, Amazon , Nvidia come for software also for hardware TI, Qualcomm, Intel comes

Placement starts on 7th Semester just after 3 years of college completion(for B.Tech). There are many top level comapanies from all sectors visit for placement Average package is around 18LPA. I intend to sit for placements

Course Curriculum Overview:
The curriculum of computer science and engineering is very well defined with respect to future perspective. One can pursue higher studies with ease or can move to industrial level. There are both theory and lab courses which prepares us for real world. There is also freedom to study courses from other departments and include them in degree credits. Exams are held mostly 4 per course per semester i.e. 2 quizzes, 1 mid semester and 1 end semester.
Likes
- The campus life is what I loved the most. You get every thing from sports to different types fields to work on.
- First thing that comes to our mind after hearing IITB is the academic, which is undoubtedly excellent.
Dislikes
- The academics of Electrical Engineering is somewhat hectic.
- The socialization between the students is very good, but lower in comparison to other IITs
Placement Experience:
After 7th Semester, students become eligible for campus placements. Around 90% of the students sitting for the placement are placed in good companies with appreciable package. The placement are provided in all the engineering profiles, along with Quant and Consulting fields. The highest package had been 3CPA, and average being 12LPA. My plan after getting degree is to work in Semiconductor industry

- Some professors here can't able to connect with students because of generation gap
- The academic pressure makes some students to get dipression
Placement Experience:
For placement, the students are eligible from 3rd semester onwards. In my department, total 9 of the core companies came and gave offer to approximately 16 to 17 people.The average package is around 20 LPA and most of the profiles are GET in geosciences. Mostly around or more than 50% students are placed.
