Course Curriculum Overview :

I have an interest in Mathematics along with Computer Algorithms. The Course Curriculum is quite hard but if one studies regularly, he can easily get a CGPA of 8.5. Faculties are extremely talented in their field of specialization. Term exams happen every 4 months and are quite easy to pass.

Internships Opportunities :

ITC, Microsoft, Google, and Facebook all offer internships of three months during summers, if your CV is good to attract them. Usually, they offer a stipend of a minimum of forty thousand per month. Projects on AI/ML.

Placement Experience :

The Placement Stats for our college is satisfying. This year, The highest package offered was 1.63 Crores and the lowest package offered was around 6 lakhs. Companies like Google, Facebook, Microsoft, Amazon, and Graviton visit and offer around 10 jobs for various roles.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Including the Semester Fees of 1 Lakh, Hostel, and Mess Fees of 54,830, and other fees, one has to pay around 3 Lakhs per year to continue the course. If the income of one's parent is less than 1 Lakh per annum, his semester fees are waived.

Campus Life :

The life at the Campus is quite good. Kshitij, the largest techno-management fest, is conducted every year to nurture the talent of young innovators. Spring Fest, the oldest and largest social and cultural fest, happens every year to promote culture.

Hostel Facilities :

There are 24 Hostels on Campus. I am living in Lal Bahadur Shashtri Hall of Residence, the largest hostel on campus. Hostel rooms are very spacious. 3 students live in one room, and 3 separate cupboards have been given along with Beds, Tables, and Chairs. Mess food is acceptable, not extraordinary.

Admission :

To get into an IIT, you have to clear JEE Mains and after that, If you are eligible for JEE Advanced, you have to clear the cutoff of JEE Advanced too. To give JEE mains, one must get over 75 percent of the grade.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am new to this curriculum but I am happy with my decision. Median package of this year is 21 lakhs in this course and faculty are too friendly. Exams are a little on the tougher side. We will have field trips for the research purpose overall it's a very underrated branch And we can try non core if we want to...since there is a lot of free time

And after 7th semesters you get to sit for placements. The highest packages goes around 2Cr. You opt for any profile SDE, data, consulting, product. Placements are good but you have to put a lot of efforts during the time of recession. Thus is the worst phase of the college life where you become stressed, selfish, and nervous. This is the tough scenario to get high packages.

Course Curriculum Overview:

It is a 5 years course. Course are quiet tougher than other B.sc colleges but it will be very effective if you are going in research field. It will also introduce you to the basic of research and it will help you in future. A habit of reading research paper are vey common in this couse work and will help in your phd. But if you dont want to pursue in research then it will be less relevant to you.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Courses at IISER Kolkata are not like usual curriculum in state or central Universities in India. IISER Kolkata 's academic curriculum is quite similar to that of US and European Universities. The focus of the curriculum is to teach and train us to make us researchers. So the courses are quite relevant if someone wants a career in research. Exams are very frequent in iiser Kolkata, apart from the mid semester and end semester exams, there are regular quizzes/class tests/surprisetests/assignments/grades tutorial problems every week.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was already very interested in economics. My college has a healthy student to teacher ratio. For every 1teacher there is 4 students. Almost of our faculties have phD and master's done. The faculty is very interactive and makes sure the concepts are clear The exams are fairly standard and the exam timings are optimal.
