What was the toughest course you took at IIT Bombay?

There is a course called CS207 Discrete Structures taught by Professor Ajit Diwan. It was related to Discrete Mathematics - Number Theory, Graph Theory, Combinatorics, Sets, and Groups, and was one of the most difficult courses my friend came across. Professor Diwan is well known for his highly challenging problems and course material. During his lectures, he delivers a lot of information based on principles. For math lovers, his classes are an absolute delight. He refrains from conducting more than one exam a month. However, the level of difficulty of the exam is high. The questions look very complicated but when one ponders upon them, they don’t seem that difficult. The exams were extremely difficult to the extent that the passing cutoff was 7 out of 100 marks. Despite the entire batch consisting of JEE toppers, a lot of them were not able to make it to the cutoff.

The course Operations Research offered at IIT Bombay is an integrated Ph.D. course. Duration: The course duration is 6 years, while the minimum is 5 years. It depends on how much time you take to complete your PhD. You can even extend it more than 6 years but won’t be receiving any stipend for the same. Another option is to opt out of an MSc degree after 3 years. Compensation: Students are paid around INR 6000/- month for 2 years and then INR 25000 from third year. Department: This course is offered by the IEOR( Industrial Engineering and Operations Research) department of IIT Bombay which is considered the best in India. Courses: The courses offered are Industrial Engineering related and some pure operations research related. There are a large number of project courses since this is a research-oriented course. The curriculum and research opportunties are outstanding.

Fees and Financial Aid:

The year wise fees I am paying is nearly 2,80,000. 2,00,000 is the tution fees. 26,000 is hostel fees, 45,000 is mess fees. 2200 is gymkhana fees 2200 is examination fees, 600 is SAIF(student accident insurance fund) and 1800 is SBF and 2000 is medical fees.

Yearly fees around 2 lakh 50000 which includes hostel fee which is around 50000 yearly. For SC and ST candidates institution fees very less. I am from EWS category so some amount of my institution fee is refunded. I am also getting Pradhanmantri Shiksha Nidhi Yojana scholarship which is 40000 yearly.

Life at IIT Bombay : In and Out

Semester fees is 119000 and an extra 22500 for mess payment for one semester. This is all we need to pay for 1 semester and rst personal expenses are subjective to different people. There are various categories and there are discounts for fees based on that. There is a merit cum need scholarship, various ngo and bank scholorships, scholorships for girls in economically weaker sections. Scholarships :- 1. merit cum means scholarship - this is avaialble for students from conomically weaker sections 2. Institute free studentship- covers tution fees for students from low income backgrounds 3. SC/ST Scholarship - Tutuion fees are fully waived off and additional financtial assistance for mess and hostel fees 4. Loan Facilities General /OBC/ EWS Tutuion fees - 1,00,000 Medical Fees 1950 examination fees 2200 registeration fees 900 gymkhana fees 2200 student benevolent fund 700 student accident insurance fund 300 total 107350 mess and hostel 22500

The year wise fee at IIT Bombay is 3,06,000,it is not increasing and fixed for a batch. For general category Tution fee is around 2,14,000 per year , mess fee is 45,000 and the hostel fee is 47,000. For sc/st there is free messing and fee remision of about 2/3of general category fee. Iit Bombay also offers merit cum means scholarship and also institute sc/st scholarship

Everything is best in iit bombay

Around 3 lakh per year i paid and this is normally all pays. Tution fees is Around 1 lakh, and mess fee is 22,500 per semester For sc st their is no tution fees and also free messing and they can get scholarship easily. A scholarship "named scholarship" gives almost whole amout for those who are eligible and needy. Many private scholarship like Reliance scholarship gives 2 lakh over four year cousre.

I personally very crazy about his behave i never see he making any issues regarding the late fees with any one this is the most important

As per my vision most of the Academy is increasing their fees as well not giving proper training also seems commercialised and the way of teaching should be changed for better future. Also my personal opinion is our schools and any educational system should be a uniqe in all ways not about teaching what is in the book but the all parts i mean way of behave cultures i believe school is where we decide to get where in future.

classes are very big. the professors are excellent and everything you have learnt will be tested atleast once in 2-3 weeks.

tuition : 100000 per semester hostel and mess and miscelleneous:70000 per semester for sc,st no tuition fees. merit cum mean scholarship: tuition fee reimbursement that depends on the income that you get anually.

Best infrastructure and best teaching staff, a well planned curriculum evenly covering both physical and mental health well being of the students.

Fee structure is as follows: 1. Tution fee per semester 100000rs. 2. Hostel fee including water, electricity, sports equipment, gym and other activities per semester 22500. 3. Mess fee per semester 22500 Above is for general category students. For SC/ST Mess is free of cost and further scholarship are provided by the institute and private organisations for accedemic support

my life at IIT Bombay

for 1st sem it was around 1.6 lakh and from 2nd sem onwards it's 1.42 lakh. tuation fees is 1 lakh and others facilities are for 22000. for sc and st it's like they don't have to pay tuition fees hence their fee is mine minus 1lakh. there available scholarships are remission of fee, mcm, named scholarship and free messing for for sc and st.

Yes, the course requires an entrance examination. It conducts GATE for admission which will be followed by a personal interview or group discussion round. It will be followed by the CCMT counseling round.
