The total cost of education is somewhat around 2 lakhs including all course fees, hostel fees and mess charges. There are various scholarships like MCM etc which provide around 30000-40000 per year for financial assistance. Beside this there is also a loan provided by college whose interest rate is also very nominal. Yes there are many campus employments like placement teams, sports teams, dance teams etc. I recently joined ISCP team for mentoring our juniors.

Fees in Indian institute of technology Bombay is little bit higher than other iIts.but they also provides monthly stipend of 12400 for which u have to take classes of Btech students 6-8hrs per week .Either u have to take lab classes or doubt clearing classes.it depends on the advisor you are assigned.sometimes u have to take class test of the students.if some one unable to take the classes then his partner has to take the class on behalf of him.otherwise 400 rupees will be deducted from the stipend.Means per day a student gets 400 as stipend.

Given that it is a government institution the hike in fee price is not that common. To complete my 4 yr btech degree the total cost will be around 12 lakhs including hostel and mess fees. however it can increase up to 15 lakhs for a dual degree student. There are Several Scholarship and Financial aid provided to the Students, Some of them are Student Merit Cum Means Scholarship (25000/sem), Heritage Fund and many more. Campus employment consists of being Teaching Assistant in a course you have sufficient knowledge about. You can apply for it through a mail and the selection procedure include an interview with the course professor and head professor. Student can gain really useful experience and insight through this scheme.

The course fee structure are as follows. As mentioned in the previous post, the year is divided into two semester and everything run as semester wise, the tution fee for a semester is around 1,50,000 INR. In addition to that one have to pay the hostel fee and mess few known as SMA. The hostel fee is around 20,000 INR and the SMA is around 20,000INR. So in total one have to pay 2,00,000 INR for a semester, if he/she has not taken any kind of scholarship. There are many types of scholarship system. One is MCM scholarship. This scholarship clear your tution fee and you have to pay only hostel and SMA fee. The eligibility of this scholarship is you must belong to SC/ST category. In addition to that if your parents salary is less than 5,00,00 INR yearly then you will get your mess refund as well as some pocket money. Apart from these there are many different type of scholarship based on your category and parent annual income. From MCM one can get the benefits and he/she have to pay onhostel

Tution fee does not increase much regularly, mostly less than 5% increase only. Tuition fee is 1 lakh per semester. Inluding hostel and mess and other fee it becomes about 1.4 lakhs per semester for 8 semesters. Many state and central government or other scholarships can be availed by eligible students.

In the past 4-5 years, the tution fees had not increased much. Other fees such as hostel and mess fees are justified. Except AC, all the other facilities are provided in the hostel, which are required by a student residing there. There are various Scholarships available for the Economically backward students, ranging from completely free from all the fees, to free tution fees. When talking about IITB, you do not have to say much on the placements provided by this college. The placements of this college is excellent, and somewhat the best in this country for Engineering students.

The fee structure is higher than other institutions but it is because of the facilities IIT Bombay offers to the students. But there are numerous scholarships you can get here. I got MCM (Merit cum means) scholarship where I got 40000 rupees per year for 2 years. There is Ups and Downs in campus placement every year but I didn't enrolled my self in campus recruitment so I didn't get any job from here.
