The hostel facilities provided us not so good in the campus. The hostels given to freshers are good, but from 2nd year onwards the hostels alloted are older hostels. The older hostels are not in good condition and are not too spacious to accomodate two students. The space is congested within hostels , which is a problem. The mess menu is great with all types of food, but sometimes the quality degrades which should also be improved. The hostels are allotted during admission time only and the process of registration for hostels is also easy and simple. However, in a high rented place like Mumbai, the hostels are affordable and value for money. The rents in PGs are way too high, thus taking hostel inside campus is a good option

Each room contains 2 desks, 2 bed, 1 almirah, 1 celling fan, 2 tubelights. However the hostel rooms are so small that after accomodating all these things inside the hostel room there is very little space left for anything else. Cant even accomodate 1 more chair as then there will be no place to stand. Some hostels are bigger and can accomodate 1+ chair but then the mess quality degrades. The mess food is healthy but doesn't tastes that good. It feels like they use same gravy for all the curry items. Some mess menu are not that good. Being a north Indian I don't like the menu personally however the menu is made by mess secretary and approved by mess councillor which are students too thus a change in mess menu can be done but there will always be a regional touch. While taking admission only we are registered for hostel and mess however we can opt out for both of these if we want. It costs 17500/sem only for hostel which is quiet affordable. If opting for a room or PG will prefer Powai.

Hostel is alloted to every student from beginning and it changes 3 times, One in first year, Next hoste is alloted for 2nd and 3 rd year and Final Hostel in fourth year with a single room and Shared rooms in previous years. Mess is generally between okayish and good. Canteens are nice and cheap. Overall there is no food problem in all four years.

All the rooms contains Fan, giod lighting, windows, and LAN socket, which provides unlimited 80Mbps internet 24X7. Every hostel has various outdoor fields and also a room for indoor games. They also contain music room, dance room, and TV room. Every hostel has its own study room, which has AC. The mess provides 4 meals a day, wich very good hygiene and quality. The registration process in the hostel is very easy, you just need to pay the fees of the hostel alloted to you. The hostel rooms are double occupancy for 1-3 years, and single occupancy for last year students.

The hostel rooms are pretty small, but they can accommodate two people. It's the senior hostels which are a problem, because the rooms are originally meant for single occupancy, but with the demolition of some hostels (H4 and H8), two people are squeezed into these rooms. One good thing is that they provide you with a laundry service and washing machines on each floor. For registering, you will have to fill a form, and pay 40k as hostel fees. The mess food quality is decent at first, but soon turns mediocre. There are night canteens that provide better food if the menu doesn't sit right with you, and these canteens stay open from 9 pm to 3 am. There's also a Domino's and a Cafe Coffee Day, and the Aromas dhaba has excellent biriyani.

In first year, students get pretty big and decent room but in the second and third year, we have to adjust dual occupancy in single sized room. However in the fourth year, we get single room which is also big. But the older hostel situations is not so good and difficult to live. However, the authorities are building newer hostels and the problem will be solved in the next 10 years.

The hostel rooms here are quite small and the food provided is not so great but since the other aspects are good, one can compromise in this one aspect. We have 24*7 canteens on campus and one can order food from there or outside at any time. The registration is quite simple and can be done only after one gets successful admission.

They will provide sharing rooms until you reach final year, with a table, bed, almarah, chair. They provide you healthy and tasty meals 4 times a day. Hostel Life here is affordable and there are canteens available until early morning if you are a night person. There are competitions between hostels like they have shown in the movie chichore. They provide electric buggies to travel form hostel to class.

When you joun you are put in a seperate hostel made for freshers. They are decent hostels although you dont have much happening there. The mess if terrible. In the second and third year you are shifted to senior hostels which are basically decades old buildings with small rooms. You share your rooms with a roomate. The senoirt hostels is where you have the most fun. They include their own sports facilities an the mess is also decent for most hostels. The girls however remain in the fresher hostels for all 3 years. In the final year you get single rooms in newly build hostels which are nice infrastructure wise but not the best for social bonding.
