fee include around 11 to 12 lakhs for a b tech guy meaning around 240000 tution fee per semester and 60000 rs for rest all expenses. It includes swimming , gym,gymkkhana, fest fees and all other. scholarships can be there too.

My Journey in IIT BOMBAY

Fees and Financial Aid:

Yearly for tution fees I need to pay 2,00,000. for hostel fees i need to pay 26,000 and for registeration, admission fee, medical fee, gymkhana fee and examination fee and other fee I need to pay 12,000. And for mess I need to pay an advanced of 45,000 per year and based on how much I eat I will get the refund by year ending. For SC/ST categories the tution fee is 0, and there are scholarships as well for other students based on parent income and merit as well. There are scholarships like Reliance etc.

IIT Bombay: A Dream Come True

Fees and Financial Aid:

Tution fee does not increase much regularly, mostly less than 5% increase only. Tuition fee is 1 lakh per semester. Inluding hostel and mess and other fee it becomes about 1.4 lakhs per semester for 8 semesters. Many state and central government or other scholarships can be availed by eligible students.

A comprehensive Review of My Experience at IITB

Fees and Financial Aid:

IIT Bombay CSE program has a tuition fee of approximately Rs 2 lakhs/year, subject to annual increases. Total annual costs including service fees can reach Rs 2.5 lakhs. Scholarships like Merit-cum-Means offer up to Rs 1000/month and fee waivers for eligible students. The academics here are very tuff and the exams are also difficult

Generally the fee structure in iit Bombay is around 2 to 3 lakhs. But the institute does not academic fees from reserved and PWD candidates. But the mess fees and hostel fees should be paid by everyone in the college.

The fee structure is perfect and has 100000 for tuition and 20000 for personal other expenses at the campus and 22500 for mess fees in a semester. There are several scholarships but I dont avail any of them.

Life at IITB

Fees and Financial Aid:

Generally tution fees remains the same across all the IITs, what veries is the hostel fees and mess bill. Fees in IITs are quite lesser as compared to private engineering institution, also the facilities provided in IITs be it in terms of job & internship opportunities, research facilities, co-curricular activities, are much more than any other engineering institutes. Fees is generally around 3 lakhs per year. But there are several scholarship schemes which are their to help the students who find it difficult to pay their fees. Two most popular scholarship schemea are: Remission of fees- Given to students whose total parental incomes is less than 5 lakhs. Benefit of this scholarship is 2/3 of tuition fees of the student is reimbursed. Remission of fees- Depending upon parental income the benefit of this scholarship varies but it has to be less than 5 lakhs and the student has to be in top 25% of his batch. There are several other scholarship for SC/ST students and female students.

Choosing one between IIIT Hyderabad and IIT Bombay for CSE will depend on your personal preferences since both the institutes are highly regarded especially in the field of Computer Science. Always remember that your success rate is directly proportional to your efforts and not your college.

Consider the following aspects and the preferred choice in each of them

If you are looking for an elite peer pool with the most geniuses minds, prefer IIT Bombay to IIIT Hyderabad as it comprises JEE toppers, Olympiad Toppers, etc
If you are looking for a better coding culture then IIIT Hyderabad it is. It has a larger number of students involved in GSoC, Competitive Programming, Open Source, etc
If you want a better campus experience as a whole go for IIT Bombay. Its campus has a lake, a hill, a jungle, Mumbai City Skyline view, thus the quality of life is better here.
Both the institutes have equally good placements for the average students while IIT Bombay has better opportunities for toppers.
If you value brand name and tag then IIT Bombay is the obvious choice.
If you are a research enthusiast then you will get better opportunities at IIT Bombay because of better professors and alumni network. Moreover, the IIT tag gives you an edge in foreign higher studies.

IIT Bombay’s rankings are a testament to its credibility and worth in the technology industry. Most JEE toppers consider IIT Bombay as their first preference. This is because IIT Bombay excels in almost all X aspects of B8 placements, faculty, or exposure.

During the placement season companies from a wide range of sectors visit the campus. However, there are some dark facts behind these placement drives. I came to know of these realities through true friends and pass outs of the institute.

One cannot deny the fact that IIT Bombay has witnessed an increase in demand due to the strong influence it has. It is sad to say but many coaching centers run by alumni of IIT Bombay promote the institute. When engineering aspirants contact the alumni for counseling and advice, most of them portray IIT Bombay as the best choice leading to a more influential decision.

What I ultimately mean is that IIT Bombay is definitely the best choice when it comes to engineering. But the fact that no other college is as good as IIT Bombay is also not true.

No, it’s definitely not foolishness, IIT B is among the top engineering colleges in the country. The IIT B is a cherished dream of many and for good reasons. The institute offers a great Computer Science program. The coding culture on campus is amazing. According to the recent placement highlights, IIT Bombay CSE average package stays in the range of INR 15-20 LPA.

The placement scenario for ECE in IIT Kharagpur is good and stands next to the CS department in the table.
Though ECE is the largest department when compared with others it still maintains its record well in placements.
The NIRF Ranking of IIT Bombay is 3rd, IIT Kharagpur is 6th, IIT Guwahati is 7th and IIT BHU is 15th.
The Average placement at IIT Bombay Mechanical is 21.82 LPA with IIT Kanpur ECE is 26.27 LPA, IIT Guwahati CSE is 25 LPA and IIT BHU CSE is 22.7 LPA

Is the content taught in CSE in IIT Bombay tougher than that taught in IIT BHU?

CSE has been at the top and has become the branch that has ruled over core branches for more than a decade now. Even though CSE course works are given specific modifications by each college separately, though the major outline of the course work is still quite similar.

IIT Bombay has explicitly designed the course for CSE to provide students more in-depth knowledge about algorithms by introducing subjects such as Discrete Structures, Data Analysis and Interpretation, and Introduction to Electrical and Electronics Circuits. These subjects are mainly introduced to help students develop skill sets required to understand how a machine works and to give a deeper understanding of how to analyze data and structure. These particular subjects are introduced prior to Coding so that it would enhance their understanding which directly relates to a better understanding of Algorithms.

Whereas the course works of IIT BHU involve subjects such as Probability and Statistics, Engineering Mechanics, and Discrete Math. Though, these subjects are important but not as challenging as proposed by IIT-Bombay. Subjects such as Algorithms, Operating Systems and Artificial Intelligence are introduced by IIT BHU in the 4th Semester, and in comparison to IIT-B, it can be said that CSE course work of IIT BHU provides students a slow start.
