For admission to the MTech Programme, a candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Technology or equivalent in an appropriate area, or
M.Sc.(Computer Science/Information Technology)/MCA or Graduates (AMIETE) enrolled from the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) in Computer Science & Engineering. with a minimum 6.0 CPI (Cumulative Performance Index) on a 10-point scale (or 60% aggregate marks).
The CPI/Marks criteria will be relaxed by 0.5 CPI (or 5% marks) for SC/ST/PwD candidates.

The course is too inspiring. The subjects of our college are really good as they are revised and advanced into the new technologies. The projects that we perform during our course work are even good to hold a conversation during interviews also. There are only 2 exams mid and end semester which will test the students knowledge really well as there are no specific uestion set where we can prepare so student need to have complete idea of concepts in order to perform well in exams.

The course curriculum was spot on. The subjects in computer science engineering are the specific cutting edge technologies like AI, ML are taught as course subjects. And the teaching professors are experienced. And every year we will two semesters and each semester is divided into mid and end semester.

A teaching assistantship programme is available in IITs under all these faculties, with students receiving a stipend. So each month, the stipend is roughly 12,000. I want to explore more in the area that's why I choose the course. Faculties at IITG are the best in their field. There are various labs organized in order to provide a better hold on the course. In order to judge the understanding of student's knowledge, exams are conducted twice every semester.

For M.Tech course joined through gate, all are affiliated to AICTE Teaching assistant stipend, which is 12400 per month. Generally, the fees is for first sem apprpx 50k and after that for every subsequent sem, around 35k, all the fees mentioned by me, includes hostel and mess charges also. But due to covid, if we are continuing are course from home, then it will be around 10k for that sem.

Appeared for Gate 2019 CSE so had to go for M.Tech in CSE.56 students and more than 20 faculties in CSE dept.Course curriculum is fantastic here, lots of electives are here covering almost every latest technology.Some quizzes before mid term, end term.If you join IITG only for passing then don't join it, it deserves better.

The difference in the packages is due to the inflated figures released by the institutes. For instance, Microsoft offers 42 LPA packages but the actual in-hand salary is only 13 LPA.
Also, IIIT Bangalore has no core job offers whereas, in IIT Guwahati, you can also explore other domains apart from IT like finance, consulting, analysis, data science, etc. It is exactly why Inthunk placements should never be the criteria to judge the credibility of an institute or program. Rather, we should start considering in-hand averages.
Another possible reason for IIIT Bangalore's better placements is the excellent research-focused culture that provides great knowledge and scope.
