Course Curriculum Overview

The course is too inspiring. The subjects of our college are really good as they are revised and advanced into the new technologies. The projects that we perform during our course work are even good to hold a conversation during interviews also. There are only 2 exams mid and end semester which will test the students knowledge really well as there are no specific uestion set where we can prepare so student need to have complete idea of concepts in order to perform well in exams.

The Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati has been providing 100% of placements for the past few years, but this year it has just been decent but better than other institutions. Various good companies like google microsoft and Qualcomm visited our campus

Fees and Financial Aid

The Indian Institute of Technology are really good educational institutions as they are funded by mhrda so the students are asked to do teaching assistance duty by which they can earn money of 12400 per month. This money would only be given if there is no other source of income or else they won't give

Campus Life

Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati is really good when it comes to clubs and sports. Because there are always student improvement schemes where students can learn new things using clubs like coding club badminton clubs as well as aquatic clubs. There are even more clubs and other activities as well.

Hostel Facilities

Indian Institute of technology Guwahati has a lot of hostels inside the campus itself for both girls, boys and marries scholars. These hostels are really good providing electricity and other facilities like water etc.. So the mess also will be really decent.

Admission

We have to appear for the GATE exam. Based on the score and category we will be allotted to the colleges we apply if we are eligible. The GATE rank cut-off for our college is around 900. The process of admission is clearing the GATE exam and applying for the college. Once we are accepted then we need to show all our certificates in order to confirm our seat. To find the application forms and dates we continuously browsed on internet. The application fee is around 300. The toughness of the GATE exam is average.

Placement Experience:

For Placement purpose you must get more than 7.5 CGPA to sit in the placement there are lot of companies which often offers jobs from TCS, Infosyss, etc but you may not get placement in your core subject Average package offered is around 4.5 LPA.

A beautiful college

Placement Experience:

Placements are decent in my branch. But in recent times there is a dip in coming companies.Average package of my branch is 8 lpa and highest goes around 21 lpa. Almost 80 percent students get placed and others choose phd. My plan is to get a good package job.

Entrance Preview:

I had qualified GATE entrance in 2016 and score 398. Gauhati University is the oldest and best university in the entire north-east. Gauhati University has more than 30 departments and known for its quality education. It is located in the capital city of Assam and have a very beautiful campus. Railway Station and Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport is near by it. Its one of the best University of India i have visited in my life.

A worth-reading review, for sure

The admission into all IITs will be through JEE ADVANCED exam. I was able to clear JEE MAIN exam with a good rank of AIR 1082 . Thus I got eligible to sit in JEE ADVANCED and cleared it with a decent rank of AIR 5152. The application process and alotment will be through JOSAA portal. I applied for all the top IITs (only for CSE & MNC as per my interest) and I'm a female OBC candidate(OBC RANK: 1002). So I got alotted MNC in IIT GUWAHATI . The cutoff in our year is around 1200 in OBC female category. JOSAA counselling portal takes fees of 3000 only and we give our order of preference in IITs , NITs and IIITs as per our interest and we will be alotted a seat as per our rank....Read More
