Remarks :

I have applied for 5-6 top-ranked colleges. Attended the interview of IISC Bangalore but can not get through. Most of the colleges for M.Tech accept admission through the GATE score. The cut-off rank for IITG in the general category is below 500. IITG organizes counseling before admission to get a better view of the course.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I want to explore more in the area that's why I choose the course. Faculties at IITG are the best in their field. There are various labs organized in order to provide a better hold on the course. In order to judge the understanding of student's knowledge, exams are conducted twice every semester.

Class Size : 60Course Fees : INR 55000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

There are very few opportunities for a master student to get an internship offer, IBM offers a full-time internship offer for master students. The internship was for 2 months and they offer projects in different areas.

Placement Experience :

The placement stats of IITG are quite impressive. There is almost 90-100% placement for Computer Science and Electronics branch but the placement stats of other core branches are quite low. The average package offered to a Computer Science student is around 20LPA.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fees structure for the course is almost similar every semester and it's around 54000 including hostel charges. In IITs, a teaching assistantship program is there under different faculties and students will get a stipend for that. The stipend amount is around 12000 every month.

Campus Life :

Life at IITG is quite exciting and there are a lot of clubs on the campus one can be a part of. Techniche and Alcheringa are technical and cultural fests organized every year. The Library of IITG is one of its attractions and there are a lot of books and journals available.

Hostel Facilities :

There are 2 hostels for girls. Single rooms are provided to each student in the old girl's hostel and double occupancy rooms in the new one and there are various facilities in hostels like washing machines, reading rooms, tv room, canteen, etc.

Entrance Preview:

I had qualified GATE entrance in 2016 and score 398. Gauhati University is the oldest and best university in the entire north-east. Gauhati University has more than 30 departments and known for its quality education. It is located in the capital city of Assam and have a very beautiful campus. Railway Station and Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport is near by it. Its one of the best University of India i have visited in my life.

Admission:

For Admission first online or offline form to be submitted in the Gauhati University. After that Student has to sit for an entrance exam. Then Students are selected on the basis of their entrance exam and academic performance. After selection Students are required to take admission in their respective departments.

i gave GATE (graduate aptitude test in engineering) i got 2000 rank. Regarding admission process-1st online counselling then one offline counselling no interview.

Regarding admission process-after gate result there is an online process after that if your name is shortlisted on the basis of your gate score then you will be call for offline counselling. after that you will be shortlisted.

I took GATE. My All india rank was 900. I also got selected in IIT Delhi but I always wanted to do M.Tech in machine design but I was not getting that branch in Delhi so I finally joined IIT Guwahati.

Placement Experience:

Placement for our senior bach was approximately 80% but it reduced to 60% for my batch. Few companies and offered package during my time are given below, they are offering significantly higher now. General Electric Co. 6.35 lakh/ year, Tata motors- 8 lakh/year, Mahendra and Mahendra- 6.5 lakh, Cummins- 6 lakh, Ansys - 8 lakh, DRDO - 6.5 lakh, TRF - 5.5 lakh.
