IIT Guwahati Courses Admission 2025: Cutoff, Fees, Eligibility, Selection Criteria

Ans. IIT Guwahati BDes admission is done through the scores secured in the UCEED exam conducted by IIT Bombay. Candidates are also required to appear for a counselling round which is conducted at the national level. The final selection is made on the basis of performance in the UCEED exam and further, counselling.

Ans. To apply for IIT Guwahati BDes, candidates must submit a common application form. IIT Bombay will process the application form and conduct the seat allocation process. The common application form can be downloaded through the IIT Bombay admission portal.

Ans. IIT Guwahati BDes admission 2024 will be based on the UCEED exam score. The registration for UCEED 2024 is ongoing and the deadline for applying to this exam is October 31 (Without late fees) and November (With late fees). The admission process is scheduled to take place from June 2024.

Ans. The minimum cutoff to get into the IIT Guwahati BDes program depends on the category of the students. For the year 2023, the minimum cutoff for the General category remained at 82 whereas for the SC and the ST category, the cutoff was 25 and 14.

Ans. The UCEED exam is the entrance test students take to enroll in the BDes program. Candidates must have passed the 10+2 exam from any recognized board. Further, students have to appear for the UCEED 2024 to be eligible for attempting UCEED 2024. 

Ans. IIT Guwahati MTech admission is done on the basis of GATE exam scores. However, the selected candidates are also called for a written test and the candidates must attend the written test conducted by the institute. Then the shortlisted candidates are called for a formal interview. The final selection to IIT Guwahati MTech depends on the performance in the GATE exam and the written test and interview. 

Ans. IIT Guwahati also offers admission to MTech students without GATE. Through the QIP program, it is possible to enroll in the MTech program without GATE. Candidates must have a BTech degree along with 2 years of work experience to be eligible for the IIT Guwahati MTech program without GATE.

Ans. IIT Guwahati MTech admission is done on the basis of GATE scores. The GATE registrations are done in the month of September-October. Candidates can register themselves for the GATE through its official website. They also have to make a payment of INR 1,400 for General/OBC (female) candidates and INR 2,300 for all other candidates including foreign nationals. 

Ans. MTech admission in any IIT is done through the GATE. The GATE registrations’ closing date was on October 12 (without a late fee) and October 20 (with a late fee). The modifications in the GATE 2024 application are scheduled to be out on November 7-November 11. The tentative dates for the GATE exam are February 3,4,10 and 11, 2024. 

Ans. IIT Guwahati offers an MSc program for a duration of 2 years segregated into 4 semesters. This program can be done under three major specialisations as follows:

Ans. IIT Guwahati MSc admission is done through the Joint Admission Test (JAM). It is a national-level entrance test that is conducted jointly by the IITs and IISc. However, candidates are also required to have a BSc degree from any recognized university or Institute to be eligible for the IIT Guwahati MSc program.

Ans. To apply for the IIT Guwahati MSc, candidates are required to visit the IIT JAM website which is jam.iitg.ac.in. Further, they have to fill in some basic details and upload the required documents. Then the application fees must be paid to successfully apply for this particular program. Ans. To pursue an MSc course, candidates can also do it without IIT JAM. However, if an aspirant is seeking MSc courses in any of the IITs, it is compulsory for them to appear for the national entrance exam for MSc, i.e., IIT JAM. 

Ans. The minimum cutoff is the mark through which candidates can get a seat at the institute for their chosen programs. The cutoff for IIT Guwahati MSc round 1 for the year 2023 ranges from 152-252 rank and in round 4 it was 174-234 rank. 

Ans. IIT Guwahati accepts CEED scores for MDes admission. IIT Guwahati shortlists students on the basis of their performance in the CEED exam. Further, the candidates are called for a Design Aptitude Test conducted at the institute. The final selection process depends on the interview and portfolio round.

Ans. The MDes cutoff 2023 for IIT Guwahati has been released by CEED. As per the CEED cutoff 2023, the qualifying marks is 24.58 for the General category, 22.12 for the OBC/EWS category, and 12.29 marks for the SC/ST/PwD category students. 

Ans. IIT Guwahati MDes candidates receive a monthly stipend based on their performance in assigned teaching assistant duty and academic progress. Candidates receive an amount of INR 12,400 per month (for a maximum period of 24 months).

Ans. IIT Guwahati MDes program is offered at the PG level. Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree for a duration of four years or equivalent in design/Architecture/Engineering/Interior Design with 55% minimum marks are eligible for IIT Guwahati MDes. The institute also considers a valid CEED score for its MDes admission. 

Ans. IIT Guwahati offers a Business program i.e., MBA through the School of Business for a duration of 2 years segregated into 4 semesters. The total seat intake of the IIT Guwahati MBA program is 30. 

Ans. For admission to the MBA Programme, a candidate must fulfill the following criteria: A valid score in the Common Admissions Test (CAT). A Bachelor's degree or a Master's degree with at least 60% marks or a minimum CPI or CGPA of 6.0 on a 10-point scale. For SC/ST/PwD candidates, a relaxation of 5% in marks (i.e. min 55%)

Ans. All the IITs accept CATscores for admission to its MBA program. No other entrance exam score is accepted for this particular course. If the aspirants wish to pursue an MBA from any of the IITs, they have to appear for the CAT exam.

Ans. To be selected for the IIT Guwahati MBA, it is compulsory for the candidates to appear for the CAT exam. Thereafter, a valid score determines their selection to this program. The minimum CAT score required for IIT Guwahati MBA admission is 70 percentile. 

Ans. The CAT registrations for the MBA program ended on September 26. Candidates will be able to download their admit cards from 25th October to 26th October. Further, the CAT exam will take place on November 26 followed by the result declaration on the 2nd week of January.
