Usually, the way everyone chooses their degree is based on the package. Computer science had the highest amount of money but it wasn't something that I found interesting and you can learn that stuff any time in life. It's not easy to survive Electrical without any interest in it. So my next option was Mechanical and I did not find any issues with it. The Mechanical professors go in-depth and give us a lot of assignments, lab sessions, and projects to make sure we understand all the concepts properly. But it does make the course more time consuming and difficult. Each semester is four months and Quiz 1 is at the end of the first month, Quiz 2 at the end of the second and End Semester exam in the end.

The curriculum typically offers a comprehensive coverage of the topics of fundamental principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, material science, manufacturing processes, and other relevant subjects. The curriculum often includes laboratory exercises, design projects, internships, and practical training components, allowing students to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world settings. The curriculum should have more of mechatronics part. The curriculum is often designed in consultation with industry experts to ensure that it meets the current and future needs.

I rate my course 9.5 / 10 because professors teach us every thing by using applications which we are using in the college. there will be many labs for every sem and also workshops related to our course the things we learn in class can be seen in labs and workshops. The difficulty of exams are moderate it will be easy to person who will complete there syllabus in time.

Course curriculum is quite good. We have relevant courses those are related to our courses . Many of my mentors who helped me to crack JEE suggested me this course . Mechanical engineering is all rounded course . We can go to any sector from this so job opportunities are more. In few courses they teach us about the how machines work and how the things are really made. These are very useful courses in further academic pursuits. There should be improvement in courses of earlier semesters like some are not so relevant. Teachers should give more time in class and in students We have our semester exams in 3 steps Quiz 1 , Quiz 2 and then end semester exam . So exams are not hectic if a guy regurly attend classes and do studies on daily basis .

Our course is pretty organised. We are taught by our professors in an organised manner. We have weekly tutorial tests which help in revision and also have monthly quizzes. So we have Quiz1, Quiz2 and end sems. I ended up choosing mechanical engineering because it was my preference after cs and electrical engineering. Also it is a pretty old branch and has lots of prospects. This branch is pretty useful in real world due to its vast applications in almost every field. I am mostly interested in the robotics field of it. The teaching methods of some professors could be better if they show more enthusiasm. They need to make the class more interesting.

The course structure is very apt to the current day use. It is very well structured and practical. They have made it more research oriented. Some of the courses can be updated. Many courses are currently getting updated accordingly to the current day usage. Exams will be conducted once in a month. 2 quizzes and one endsem is held for every course. These exams help students to stay in track and analyse their position in the course. They give a way to get better in the course.

I aimed to join IIT and this influenced me to work hard and finally achieved it. In my campus, students can connect to outer world through alumini and can learn as per their stream irrespective of their stream. We are having 2 quizes and 1 midsem and 1 endsem.

Courses are really relevant as they keep updating the syllabus with time and industry standards. some professors are one of the best in their field and they are the one who are making the field forward. some professors do lack their teaching but you have to consider that they are here to research not to teach but if you have a hunger for knowledge. you can easily get a project if you want and work under best in the field and you can learn the newest things in the industry. you have a wonderful choice of courses and you can choose them according to your interests.

Cources are good only but there are some cources that I don't generally like for example - applied thermodynamics , main problems are professor basically . I think some xhanges should be done considering requirements and demands of student.
Choosing between IIT KGP Electrical, IIT Madras Mechanical or IIT Indore CS should depend on your area of interest, career goals, and preference. All of the IITs offer excellent academic structure which helps to enhance both your theoretical and practical skills.
IIT Madras has a great Mechanical Engineering branch. The departmental lab and workshop are well-equipped with cutting-edge instruments. IIT Madras Mechanical dept. has a well-experienced faculty pool. Many faculty members are actively pursuing research projects.
IIT Madras placements are good for Mechanical Engineering. Around 85% of students get placed from the branch. The average CTC received by the students of the branch is around INR 12 LPA.
Both IIT Hyderabad and IIT Madras are well-recognized institutions in India. However, opting for Computer Science at IIT Hyderabad or Mechanical at IIT Madras completely depends on your choice, interest, and career goals.
Mechanical Engineering at IIT Bhubaneswar is better than engineering design engineering at IIT Madras. I don't know much about IIT Madras, but I can share information about IIT Bhubaneswar.
