The courses are well designed and in deep. The exams are divided into internals, mid-semester examination and end semester examination. The internals for every subject is taken in a different way. Some have class tests whereas some have tutorial tests. Mid-semester and End-semester examinations are common for all the students. Some of the courses are useful for further studies and job but not all of them are. Courses like programming, mathematics have very much relevance to the future but courses like Physics, Biology are just good for them who want to pursue/research in those subjects.

Courses are similar to most government engineering colleges in India but facilities and faculties are the best here in IITs. Most faculties are highly experienced and research oriented in their field.

First of all people in iit don't give a shit to academics like that in jee. Even me have hardly attended classes. From my experience I never liked most of the faculties who taught me in my first semester. But the teaching quality was increased in sem 2 .I took my course because of my craze in mechanical engineering and aerospace engineering

Mechanical Engineering is a very diverse branch. It opens the gateway for many opportunities in India and also in abroad. Also, the Faculty advisors and the head of the branch here in my college are cool and helpful professors. Faculty Student Ratio is very good. You will get 150 students per Professor. and there are Teaching Assistants also, they are very helpful too. Faculties here are researchers, they have a lot of knowledge about the subject. but they dont know how to give it to students properly, they teach using slides and it keeps on becoming boring and eventually, students find themselves sleeping. But some are very good and enthusiastic. class tests and quizzes keep happening. there are two major exams. the mid-semester exam and the end-semester exam. the two major exams are difficult but studying via professor's notes makes it easy.

Course curriculum is nice. I choosed Mechanical engineering as I had interest in this field since childhood. The faculties here are highly qualified infact some are alumni of IIT Kharagpur itself. The teaching method is also very unique and interesting. Exams are also timely and of difficult level but one can easily pass if they study hard.

I chose this course because it is one of the best courses in IIT. Faculty is very good. factulty to student ratio 4:100. All the faculties have very high experience of more than 15 years. All the faculties are well qualified. Teaching is done through board and projector. Term exams are held in 1.5 months and if you study they are easy to pass.

I choose Mechanical engineering because I was interested in this course and the college is very old and renowned as well. The faculty to student ratio is around 1:20. All the facilities have their PhD completed. The teaching methods is quite good and students can easily understand their language, everyone can ask anydoubt .In a semester 2 exams are conducted, one mid semester exam after around one and a half month, and another end semester exam after around 4 months
If you are considering pursuing Mathematics and Computing at either IIT Kharagpur or IIT BHU, it is important to evaluate the strengths and opportunities offered by each institution. Here are some key points to consider in this regard:
If you are interested in pursuing Mathematics and Computing, IIT Kharagpur is a great choice with a strong reputation, impressive placement records, and opportunities for high-paying jobs both in India and abroad.
First of all you need to lose this ideology that mechanical has more scope and mining has less scope. Every field has top notch research going in it and provides dynamic and challenging work opportunities.
I also had the same dilemma and I chose Mining at IIT Kharagpur over other departments for to following reasons:-
IIT Kharagpur’s manufacturing science and engineering course is better than IIT Bhubaneswar’s mechanical engineering. IIT Kharagpur is well-recognized nationwide for offering excellent academics.
IIT KGP held Rank 6 in the NIRF Engineering Ranking for 2023. Its Manufacturing Science and Engineering course will open plenty of career opportunities for you in the US and Europe. This subject is very much sought after in foreign markets.
IIT Kharagpur has a very well-structured academic curriculum for the students, it offers excellent research facilities along with a highly qualified faculty. The course curriculum for Manufacturing Science and Engineering at IIT KGP has subjects related to manufacturing processes, materials, automation, quality control, and more.
IIT KGP offers practical learning alongside rich academics to help its students excel in their career. IIT KGP will provide you unparalleled exposure.
Even though Mechanical Engineering from IIT Bhubaneswar is also a good option, I would recommend you choose Manufacturing Science and Engineering at IIT Kharagpur.
