IIT Madras has started the application process for a Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Electronic Systems. The last date to apply for the same is 2nd January 2025. The exam will be conducted on February 23, 2024. Candidates can apply for the exam online through the official website i.e. https://study.iitm.ac.in. BS degree in Electronics Systems at IIT Madras is a three-year undergraduate program. It has three levels including Foundation, Diploma, and BS degree and to get this degree candidates must complete all the levels.

Eligibility Criteria for BS in Electronics Systems at IIT Madras

  • Anyone who has passed Class 12 or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics can apply irrespective of age. View list of accepted class 12 equivalents.
  • School students who have appeared for their Class 11 final exams can apply. Those who qualify can join the program after passing Class 12.
  • The committee approved that students who have passed Maths and Physics separately through NIOS or any other equivalent organization be permitted to apply to the BS in Electronic Systems program, having fulfilled the minimum eligibility requirement.

  • Sign in with the candidates’ Email ID
  • They need to click on the ‘Apply Now’ option
  • Fill out the application form carefully
  • Upload the required documents as per the specifications
  • Pay the application fee as applicable and submit the form

Documents Required for the Application Process

Documents required for the application process are listed below.

  • Mark sheets of Class 10 (Secondary School) and Class 12 (Higher Secondary School) or equivalent examinations.
  • JEE Advanced scorecard
  • A government-issued ID such as Aadhaar card, passport, or voter ID.
  • Passport-sized photographs
  • Caste Certificate (if applicable)
  • Disability Certificate (if applicable)
  • Migration Certificate
  • Transfer Certificate
  • Additional Certificates (if applicable)

It’s advisable to carry both original documents and photocopies for verification during the admission process. Ensure that photographs and documents adhere to any specified size or format mentioned in the application guidelines.

Application Fee

Application fees are different for different categories and category-wise fees are mentioned below.

An additional exam facilitation fee will be applied for students outside India. The application will be considered only after the fee is paid and the documents are verified. Application without document verification and fee payment will be considered invalid.
