Life at NIT Surathkal

Life at NIT Surathkal usually begins at 7 am with a quick breakfast and the classes commence at 8 am. All the students of this institute have to maintain a strict 75% attendance. After the first half of the classes are over, the lunchtime begins at 1 or 1.30 pm, followed by an hour of break. The classes break at 5 pm and students are free to go back to their hostels or remain engaged in their chosen activities. A usual day at NIT Surathkal includes studying, discussing subject topics among themselves, and self-studying most of the time.

The beach- NIT Surathkal is the only institute in India that owns a private beach and it has become the most attractive aspect for students joining the institute.
