Course Curriculum Overview :

Courses are really relevant as they keep updating the syllabus with time and industry standards. some professors are one of the best in their field and they are the one who are making the field forward. some professors do lack their teaching but you have to consider that they are here to research not to teach but if you have a hunger for knowledge. you can easily get a project if you want and work under best in the field and you can learn the newest things in the industry. you have a wonderful choice of courses and you can choose them according to your interests.

Internships Opportunities :

they are all kind of companies from jane streets, optiver which offers around 15 lacs per months to 17 lacs per months to some local start up which also offer around 20000 per months to 30000 per months. companies like google, amazon, tata, etc comes as well. you have have companies both in cores and non- cores you can choose your career according to your choice without any boundations.

Placement Experience :

it is great actually. my college average placement packege is 26 lacks per annum. every branch have different statistic but it is not bad at all. many people make their own start-ups and also some go for higher studies and off campus placement opportunies are great too. even professor helps sometimes to get yo job as they have great connenctions in industries themselves. with enough skills you can get a job and get proper future.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

you need not worry about the fee as if your family income is below 5 lacks per annum then you do not need to pay anything also there are many concessions if you family income is above 5 lacks per annum to some upper limit. Also, there are tons of opportunities for scholarships and financial assistance if you need as they help you to buy cycles, laptops anything. Yes you have to pay hostel fees if you are not a day schooler but if you are SC or ST student then you need to pay lesser then that. There are many ways to get employment here you can do TAs work once you are 3rd or 4th year or you can do some internships as well.

Campus Life :

It is great. the campus is soo big and pretty. campus area is around 600 acres and full of trees and might be the only college campus in the world which is filled with deers and blackbucks and monkeys. the clubs are really active and you can find all the club of your interest. you can take part in sports events like Inter - IITs where you can go to different iits and take part in sports events, technical competitions and also social competitions. we have library for every students so you have excess to all kinds of books and also seniors are really helpful too.

Admission :

My college take admission through jee exam scores. first you have to clear the jee main exam then have to appear for jee adv and should get decent rank to get admission in IIT madras for my branch (mechanical engineering) you need to get rank around 2300 (no reservation) for different reservation you have different rank cutoff. it totally depends upon how that years' people fill their list college choosinglist in JOSAA . recently they have started the sports quota as well where they will take around 2 people per branch but the detail yet to be release.

There were more than 100 companies opting to get people from our college. Infosys, CTS, TCS and many other companies and the campus drive takes place at almost for 2 to 3 months. There will be even heavy competition between companies who's gonna recruit first. There are options if you are not interested in placements too

Admission:

I got the Admission in this college based on 12th marks and Jee main. i got Jee main score of 130 and 12th marks of 95%. so based on this they will ready a common Merit list and publish the All India ranks. based on your AIR , you will be called for counseling. You have to go to the SASTRA campus, on your allotted counselling date and time and Book the Branch of your choice. This is the Admission process

Course Curriculum Overview:

The Course Curriculum is really good it's on par with Bits and Nit syllabus. It's well designed to both suit the students needs and also equip them well with the basic fundamental concepts which can further strengthen their core concepts knowledge . moreover , the syllabus is designed in such a way that it covers 85% of gate exam syllabus. so we can also appear for gate exam immediately after completing our course. The Exam structure is based on conceptual learning. one has to be well equipped with concepts in order to pass in the exams. We must not mug up at any point of time as SASTRA exams will test your concepts rather than ur memory capacity. It will have 3 Cia exams out of which the best 2 exam scores will be considered for internal assessment and then followed by final semester examination which consists of 100 marks out of which 50 will be considered for overall grading. This is the exam structure
