Course curriculum is good where you do all computaional biology courses (major selcted by most under bioengineering). IN computationl biology you will be doing coding courses like - Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biostatistics and some lab based courses like Biomaterial, Nanobiotechnology, Biomanufacturing, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Bioprocessing, etc. Apart from this you have to do basic data science courses as compulsory subjects and you can take deep learning and other courses as electives. In first year everyone has smae curriculum. So it includes electronics, graphic designing, maths, data science, and humanity courses. Curriculum is lab focussed so you will be trained for working in labs once you are out of college. Only problem happens if you are more inclined towards IT sector where you will be totally ignored based on the branch. Cirruculum imoprovement can be done by allowing more of CSE courses atleast through free elective. Exams are only mid sem and end sem.

Course curriculum is decent but it lacks some very important portions of what is required in life forward. Specially for software Engineers. Courses are taught with the help of projectos and slides and most of the professors provide you with material to read from

The curriculum is quite good . It is very relevant like we have course on thermodynamics, rigid body mechanics which is useful in mechanical engineering and there are also robotics course for all branches so that every one can know the basics of robotics . There are coding courses for everyone so that everyone can know tech field Also there are extra curricular courses which are very relevant to our daily life like Language speaking courses like french , German , english . Also our college has started have semester exchange facility available to foreign colleges.

The course curriculum is really vast and comprehensive. Each course is given a difficult level which commonly goes upto 5 or 6, which are considered really tough. He ce, students have the option to select courses based on their difficulty and it is also a factor which tells how vast the course is gonna be.

Curriculum InfluencesInnovative Course Structure: The curriculum is designed to integrate technical education with humanities and social sciences, ensuring a well-rounded education. Entrepreneurship Focus: The presence of the IIT Mandi Catalyst, a technology business incubator, encourages students to develop entrepreneurial skills alongside their technical education. Broader Elective Options: Some students feel that offering a wider range of elective courses would allow for more personalized and diverse learning experiences. Enhanced Practical Exposure: Increasing the number of industry visits, internships, and practical workshops could further bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world applications Faculty Training: While the faculty is highly qualified, regular professional development and training sessions could help them stay updated with the latest teaching methodologies and technological advancements

Civil engineering is considered as one of the chill branches because the curriculum is not hard as computer science and engineering that gives you a plenty of times to do other stuffs but the number of labs is higher than other branches make you schedule very hectic. Civil engineering is very practical you can understand the experiments easily. What I personally think about this branch is that the curriculum we are following if very old so it have to be more towards software based learning. Talking about exams their are two major exams in every semester they are mid semester exams and end semester exams. Their can also some quizzes between the semester

The curriculum is highly efficient to every branch . The top faculty along with other IIT's prof. make the curriculum . Even the core branch students like (mech, elect , Civil, etc) can do minor in CSE and get a job in tech field Some of the exams are tough while some of them are moderate , so you have to study to get good cgpa, one nighter did'nt work here at all

Among all the IITs offering data science and engineering course , iit mandi is the highest rated. Core courses as: 1-Data science 1 ,2 ,3 2-mathematical foundations for data science 1 ,2 3-DSA 4-statistical foundation for data science 5-matrix computational for data science 6-computing for data science 7-optimization for data science 8-introduction to statistics learning 9-information security and privacy These are core courses for 35 credits With these many courses you can estimate the level of course . Each course have 1/2 labs each week giving hands on experience. The exam pattern - one mid sem (30-35%) Two assignments (10%) Quizes (optional) One end sem(50-55%) Other than this there are elective baskets also 1- Machine learning 2-Networks and distributed computing 3-Theoretical computer science 4-Applied mathematics 5-statistics and optimization 6-neuroscience basket I can say undoubtedly for data science and Engineering its one of the best course in the country.

The branches which already existed from a long time , they have pretty good curriculum. The subjects, lab sessions tutorials all give good experience for us . They also provide us project works to work under professors if you want , so you can have experience. The branches which were recently introduced don't have good curriculum right now .

I choose data science because it is a very growing and developing branch. There is so much to learn every day. There is so much development happening The curriculum is Is still developing. Core courses are still not distributed throughout the BTech years The difficulty level is Is fairly good.
Both Data Science Engineering and Electrical Engineering at IIT Mandi are excellent programs with their own strengths and unique opportunities. The nature and job opportunities of both programs are poles apart.
Data Science Engineering focuses on the application of statistical and computational methods to extract insights from data. It covers topics like probability, visualization, numbers, algorithms, and such.
Electrical Engineering on the other hand is related to the design and development of electrical systems, such as power generation and distribution, control systems, and communications.
It’s better to research the curriculum and course offerings of both programs, as well as speak with current students or faculty to gain a better understanding of which program aligns best with your interests and goals.
One of my friends is a student at IIIT Allahabad pursuing a dual degree in IT. My older brother is a student at IIT Mandi, where he is studying electrical engineering. Regarding the whole situation, let me be absolutely honest with you.

IIIT Allahabad outperforms IIT Mandi in terms of faculty, coding culture, and infrastructure.
You must now choose where you will spend the next four years of your life. Examine your long-term priorities and goals, and make decisions accordingly.
Out of all the three mentioned colleges, I would say that IIT Mandi is the best choice.
IIT Mandi is a comparatively better option than IIT Dhanbad. IIT Mandi offers effective classes with good college facilities and an eco-friendly atmosphere away from the rush of the city.
Most significantly, you can easily change the branch after fulfilling the required criteria. IIT Mandi provides good hostel facilities and a resourceful campus to the students, which will help them study in comfort.
IIT Dhanbad will stress you with work and exams and is not good for your research work, but they offer commentable extracurricular activities to the students. If you are highly passionate about your studies and looking for a career in security, then you can definitely opt for IIT Mandi.
Both IIT Mandi and IIIT Delhi are excellent institutions with well-established programs in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science respectively. The decision of which one to attend should depend on your personal preferences and academic goals rather than the quality of the branch. IIT Mandi is known for its strong emphasis on research, while IIIT Delhi is known for its focus on applied technology.
Both colleges give an edge to each other in terms of placements and quality of education offered. If you aren’t certain of your preference yet, it's best to go for IIT Mandi. There are 2 main reasons why I prefer IIT Mandi to IIIT Delhi.
However, solely relying on branch change is not wise and you should analyze other angles also.
Although both programs are offered by prestigious institutes, I prefer CSE at MNIT to electrical at IIT Mandi. Considering only the branches it’s not a brainer that CSE offers much better placement opportunities than Electrical. I am not saying IIT Mandi placements are not good, it's just that they cannot be compared to MNNIT CSE placements.
I would suggest that you go for CSE at MNNIT rather than Electrical at IIT Mandi. Yes, you will miss the much coveted IIT tag but trading it with an NIT tag, better college life, and excellent placement opportunities is not a bad deal right? The moment you sit for placements and start receiving excellent packages in contrast to your counterpart electricals, you will realize how wise your decision to choose CSE was.
These are very different choices and you should first make up your mind on the choice of stream.
Here is the relevant information on each stream from the different institutions:
IIT BHU Civil Engineering is a 4-year full-time on-campus degree. The course fee for the first year is INR 2.28 Lakhs, while for the next three years, it is INR 2.13 Lakhs each. During the 2023 placements, the placement percentage for the Civil Engineering branch was 76.98%. The median package was INR 15.75 LPA and the Average Package was INR 19.09 LPA.
All the above institutions carry the prestigious IIT tag but to compare all of them that too using different courses is quite difficult. You must first choose the course that you wish to pursue and then decide which of these institutions best fulfills all your goals.
You can use the above statistics for course fees and placements to get a rough idea of each.
IIT Mandi MBA Fees is INR 2.35 Lakhs (1st Year Fees). Here are more details:
Fees | Year 1 | Year 2 |
---|---|---|
Tuition Fees | INR 3,50,000 | INR 3,50,000 |
Other Fees | INR 72,750 | INR 750 |
Total Fees | INR 4.23 Lakhs | INR 3.51 Lakhs |
