- JEE Main 2025 exam dates have been announced for the January Session. The exam is scheduled from January 22 to January 31, 2025. Students seeking admission to B.Tech/ B.Arch/ B.Planning courses can apply online through the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. The last date to apply is November 22, 2024. Only the top 2.5 lakh JEE Main 2025 qualified candidates will be eligible to sit for JEE Advanced 2025 (conducted for engineering admission to IITs).
About IIT Bhilai
Established in the year 2016, IIT Bhilai is a public technical institute and one of the youngest IITs set up by the Ministry of Education. The institute’s eco-freindly campus sprawls over 455 acres of land in Bhilai, Chattisgarh. The institute offers a variety of UG, PG, and doctoral programs in the fields like Engineering, Science, Humanities, etc. In the year 2020, IIT Bhilai added a new discipline called Data Science and Artificial Intelligence in its flagship program i.e., BTech. The institute considers the JEE Advanced scores for BTech admission and further cutoffs are released by the JoSAA counselling. During the 2023 counselling, the cutoff for the CSE branch remained the most competitive and closed at 5791 ranks in round 6. Also, IIT Bhilai accepts GATE and IIT JAM scores for admission to its MTech, and MSc programs.
The IIT Bhilai placements 2023 are underway and so far the institute has witnessed 100% placements in MTech, CSE, EE, and DSAI branches. The highest and average packages recorded during the 2023 placements were INR 48.64 LPA, and INR 14 LPA respectively. More than 105 recruiters visited the campus and the first international recruiter of IIT Bhilai was Accenture (Japan).

Campus: IIT Bhilai operates from its transit campus at the Government Engineering College (GEC) in Raipur. IIT Bhilai Scholarships

Merit-cum-Means Scholarship- This scholarship is available to only UR and OBC categories. Candidates must have secured a minimum CGPA of 6.0 with parental income ranging between INR 1 Lakh to INR 5 Lakhs to be eligible for this scholarship. The institute will provide 1/3rd reimbursement of tuition fee per semester along with pocket money of INR 1,000 per month.
Institute SC/ ST Scholarship- To avail of this scholarship, the SC/ ST students are required to score a minimum CGPA of 6.0 with a parental income less than INR 4.5 LPA. Candidates will get free messing and boarding and pocket money of INR 250 per month.
Institute Fee Studentship Scholarship- Under this scholarship scheme, only 10% of the UG students are proposed for grant of Free Studentship. The students’ parental income should not exceed INR 6 LPA for the OBC students. along with a minimum score of 6.0 CGPA is required. The OBC students whose family income ranges between INR 1 Lakh to INR 5 Lakhs who avail of 2/3rd remission of the tuition fee will be eligible for 1/3rd reimbursement of the tuition fee per semester.
Institute Fellowship to Postgraduate Students- Candidates who are admitted under the Non-Sponsored MTech category will be paid a maximum of 21 months by the institute provided they have a valid GATE score. Furthermore, under this scheme, PhD students are offered a paid fellowship for 4 years by the institute and are likely to continue for another year. All students who are offered Institute Fellowship by the institute are expected to devote 8 hours per week towards academic and administrative work.

One need to crack JEE advance along with 75% in CBSE or top 20%ile in the state boards to get into this course. College provides us with mentors which help during the whole admission and registration processes.

I got admitted here through the JoSAA counselling process which follows jee advanced scores and eligibility the application forms fees and dates are available on JoSAA webpage As an SC student, I availed for reservation benefits which eased my admission. The entrance exam is challenging but fair. A unique aspect was the Student mentorship program where seniors are assigned to help new students wth the registration process ensuing a smooth transition. I have been mentor and mentor coordinator and helped many new batches

IIT Bhilai Cut off rank was 4029 for CSE in 2022. The admission process was through JOSAA after attempting JEE MAINS and JEE ADVANCED. You can apply for these through JEE portal. For getting into college i had to give jee entrance exam that includes mains and advance after qualifying both i got the college. Application form can be found on jee advance website and NTA jee main website.

- After night 11 we can't go outside and we can't get food within campus but they will allow swiggy and zomato upto their app services allowed.
- Some sport courts are going on under construction.
Admission:
Write jee advanced exam and get a good score. And then in preference order keep IIT Bhilai also. After 6 rounds are completed you get a download invitation slip and after you reach some documents verification is done by college authorities.

Admission to IIT is done in 2 phases via jee mains and then advance, for eligibility you have to be 10-12 passed, and in 12 you must have a 75% overall percentage, in admission process it's a very traumatic process of josaa and it can be streamlined.

First I gave Jee mains after that I qualified for jee mains I gave Jee advanced category rank 2688 and the cutoff for mechanical in round 2 is 2612 2733after qualifying for Jee Advanced i appeared for jossa and got the seat in Iit Bhilai After that our mentors are helping me in getting admission.

Admission:
I took entrance into this college after qualifying for JEE Advanced in the discipline of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. The cutoff of this branch was 5685 - 7009. After qualifying I filled out the JOSAA counseling form available at their official website. After selecting the college I paid fees for freezing the seat and after that came to college on the reporting day.

IIT Bhilai offers an array of scholarships for its students enrolled among both undergraduate and postgraduate programs. The institute highly encourages its students to apply for the following scholarships. However, there is a certain requirement for each scholarship that should be matched by the applying student before applying.
Merit Cum Means Scholarship:
- The Merit Cum Means Scholarship is only available to 25% of students in UR and OBC categories.
- The economically weak students having an annual family income between INR 1 lakh to INR 5 lakh who avail 2/3rd remission of the tuition fee will be eligible for 1/3rd reimbursement of tuition fee per semester + pocket money of INR 1000 per month.
- In order to be eligible for the MCM scholarship, students must have maintained a minimum CGPA of 6.0 and their annual family income should not exceed INR 5 lakhs for UR students and INR 6 lakhs for OBC students.
Institute SC/ST Scholarship:
- Under the Institute's SC/ST Scholarship Scheme, all the undergraduate students of SC/ST categories are included and can avail the scholarship.
- Students applying for the SC/ST Scholarship should have an annual family income not exceeding INR 4.5 lakhs and INR 5 lakhs for UR students and INR 6 lakhs for OBC students.
- Free messing and boarding along with a pocket allowance of INR 250 per month is awarded to the students under this scheme.
- Also, students should have a minimum CGPA of 7.0.
Institute Free Studentship Scholarship:
- The Institute Free Studentship Scholarship is awarded to only 10% of the undergraduate students whose annual family income is less than INR 5 lakhs for UR Students per annum and INR 6 lakhs for OBC students per annum.

Yes, IIT Bhilai offers a part-time PhD program. Working personnels such as engineers, scientists, teachers, etc., who can not attend the regular PhD classes are eligible for the sponsored part-time PhD program.
