- Infrastructure: infrastructure is well maintained here. We have a huge library, mega classrooms, auditorium, OAT, sports complex.
- Club culture: club culture is good relative to other colleges.
Dislikes
- Connectivity: no railway station in mandi make it a very hard to reach.
- Faculty: some faculty are very rude to students and grading is relatively tough.
Course Curriculum Overview:
Civil engineering is considered as one of the chill branches because the curriculum is not hard as computer science and engineering that gives you a plenty of times to do other stuffs but the number of labs is higher than other branches make you schedule very hectic. Civil engineering is very practical you can understand the experiments easily. What I personally think about this branch is that the curriculum we are following if very old so it have to be more towards software based learning. Talking about exams their are two major exams in every semester they are mid semester exams and end semester exams. Their can also some quizzes between the semester
Likes
- Friendly behaviour of professor and TAs, and good friends
- Labs are very well maintained and have all machines and instruments.
Dislikes
- Bad weather in winter months and transportation is bad here.
- Mess food is not so good and high prices in cantines
Course Curriculum Overview:
I was highly interested in civil engineering and government job in Indian engineering services. So, I have taken admission in this branch. Iitmandi makes us learn all real life application of civil engineering and learned all softwares and practicals in real field. Areas of improvement includes college should not do compulsory HSS courses which are irrelevant to engineering. IIT Mandi takes two exams in a semester one is midsem and another is end semester exam. The difficulty level of endsem exam is very good and challenging.

- As everyone know I like whether here that we can't get in our home town
- It's like unity in diversity and people from different places knowing each other
Dislikes
- Distance from mandi city to IIT is 20 kms and you will be provided campus buses also
- I need think infrastructure need to be developed
Course Curriculum Overview:
Actually I like buildings a lot and i m passionately taken civil engineering here in IIT mandi and yes it's up to mark from my observations and teachers here are very friendly with students and help a lot in our academic pursuits and exams will be at a gap of 2 months for every semester
Likes
- I like the place where it is situated it is between the hills and the view from here is very beautiful. Also
- Also the seniors here are very friendly they help a lot in your academics in any situation.
Dislikes
- The campus is divided into parts which make it difficult for us to travel from one campus to other for a small work
- Professors here takes the academics very seriously and you have to maintain your 80% in every course which make it difficult for the student who won to do side hustle.
Course Curriculum Overview:
In the 1st year all students taught the almost similar subject in the second and afterwards college taught you the course related to your branch curriculum over here is very strict you have to maintain 80% in each courses to attempt and semester exam. Talk about the exam pattern there are two exams conducted in our college first one is mid semester and the other one is end semester. Courses you you taught here are essential for your future jobs. Therefore academics much focused here.

- Supportive faculty: faculty are very supportive and are very good at teaching.
- Infrastructure is very fascinating especially considering the location of the college.
Dislikes
- Remote location. It very tricky to reach because of its not so good connectivity to major cities like Chandigarh and Delhi.
Course Curriculum Overview:
I got the course based on my JEE Advanced rank. Faculty student ratio is quite good and faculty are there whenever you need to discuss academic doubts with them. Faculty are well qualified and most of them are PhDs from IITs and have quite good research work. Teaching method of faculty is good but some of the topics taught by faculty can be quite difficult to understand. Our term were just on time when they should be. As for the difficulty, I would say they were very challenging.
Course Curriculum Overview:
I like my course in civil engineering, people don't know but it's an evergreen and growing branch. Faculty to student ratio is about 0.8. The teaching methods of the faculty is superb, they are a very knowledgeable person as all are Ph.D. graduates. Terms exams are frequent like quizzes are monthly and sem exams are in 4 months.

The fee structure__: in the included of fees of mess and hostels and transportation fee and library fee,health centre fee and extra curriculum activities as the class and NSS and sports club and hiking and trekking extras activities.
