IIIT Una is one of the 20 IIITs being set up under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Scheme by the Government of India. I applied for iiit ranchi and iiit una and iiit nagpur here are the reasons for both not choosing both iiit nagpur and iiit ranchi for iiit nagpur is that it doesn't have good sports facilities and a good campus. And for iiit ranchi is its temporary campus and far distance from my home

- Hostel rooms are big enough , 3 students share a single room and each room is occupied with bed , table chair and a cupboard also a balcony.
- Mess food is decent enough and the quality keeps on increasing.

I applied in IIIT Kottayam and IIIT Bhagalpur but i chose IIIT Una because its near to my home as compared to IIIT Kerela and Facilities and infrastructure is good as compared to IIIT Bhagalpur. No i did not get any rejection as my jee score was good enough. Admission process is we have to sit in jossa counseling and if you rank is below 45000 you can secure a seat in IIIT Una and simply follow the jossa and csab rules and regulations to get admission here .

It is the best college i was getting at my JEE Main rank as it was the best choice for me to pursue Btech in computer science engineering as being a IIIT it is somewhat modern and have more placement opportunites. For admission i followed the same procedure as mentioned in JOSAA and physical verification

- Good hostel facility mess food for the first year student is quite bad but when we go in 2nd year in chitagni hostel then we will get best food

- Travelling and it is not in the Himachal I mean in the mountains

I rejected IIT and got rank 14k in Jee advanced but I want to pursue IT that's why IIIT Una is better than all IIITs because as compared to IIIT BHOPAL, IIIT RANCHI, GUWAHATI, they don't have a permanent campus, the top priority of this College Firstly you have to appear for the jee examination if you get a good rank like 40k or 97 percentile then you can easily get into this College

- As IIIT Una is new IIIT so Incomplete and Underdeveloped Infrastructure.

You must have rank below 45000 for General. You can get admission via JEE MAIN. Then you have to sit in JOSAA counselling. Female quota is also now applicable. For rank below 35000, You can get CSE or IT. For rank above 35000 you will get ECE.

- Location is good for exploring himachal pradesh. Nearby we can find good tourist spots.
- Una is a decent place with quite atmosphere.

- Placements are not upto the mark. They need to be better.
- Faculty give grades on how they know the students. Many faculty are seen doing this.

Admission is through JEE MAINS. Forms are filled out at the JOSAA portal, and students have to sit for the counseling and based on their JEE RANKS, they are given college and branch. Reservation follows central government schemes.

- Clubs( we have around 10-12 clubs and they organise at least an event every weekend)
- Sports facilities are exceptional ( only con is no specific coaches,we have a pti)

- Not much connectivity to the city, campus is 8km away from main city and the Una city is also not much developed, there arent many clubs or dj's, only a few that too 20 km away from the college
- Very strict attendance policy, all medical leaves, family functions, personal absents etc are to be included under the 25% criteria. Though you are to be complete your left out classes after end sems, it does feel kinda hectic
Admission:
I took admission in the computer science and engineering branch by securing a rank of 32k in the jee mains exam of 2023. I got the seat in the ews category in the first round of csab councelling. Intrested candidates can find the application form, fees and other details on jeemain.nta.nic.in.

Eligibility of course is to have PCM in 11th and 12th. You have to give JEE for it. Seat is alloted on basis of jee rank by JoSAA and CSAB. For my branch cutoff was 30-36k in 2023. Seats are reserved as per JoSAA guidelines

- We have a certified schedule for the mass timing when we have to eat breakfast, lunch, evening snacks and dinner.

Candidate willing to take admission to Btech program at IIIT Una must have passed grasswells with PCM with a minimum of 75% aggregate in the subject. Once can get admission in Btech program at IIIT Una by appearing for JEE means examination and achieving the required cut of rank for different branches.
