Offering a wider range of electives for students to tailor their education to their specific interests and career goals. Exams are typically scheduled at the end of each term or semester, with mid-term assessments to monitor progress. The difficulty level is balanced to challenge students while being fair and reflective of the taught material.

The course curriculum has a slight problem, it is not properly ordered. An example of this is Mathematical statistics being in our final semester core paper. However, there are electives in the third semester that require math-statistics as a prerequisite. There are a few subjects like these that need to be taught earlier and a few that need to be taught later.

The course curriculum of the MSc physics in iit kgp is very hectic. There are 3 labs and 5 theory papers in the first year. For the second year, there are two projects and one internship apart from 3 theory and 2 elective subjects. Faculty members are very experienced and are very research-oriented. They are the legends of their respective fields. Most of the professors are very chill and very friendly and is easy to get in touch with them.

This course is helpful for both PhD and placement. Faculty: students ratio is more than satisfying. Around 45 faculty is available there. Qualification of most of the faculty is post doctoral. Their teaching methods varies teacher to teacher. But overall it is good One has 4 months to clear one semester. Within 4 months you have mid-sem and end-sem both. It's moderate to pass the exam.

Currently, the faculty-student ratio is almost 1:38. In each semester, two exams are conducted, one is Midsem(30% weightage) and the End-sem(50% weightage). The remaining 20% is teachers' assessment, which the teacher can assess through attendance/class tests/assignments.

Actually, this course provides me the opportunity to explore 2 campuses, as IIT KGP does this course in collaboration with IACS KOLKATA, hence we get to explore the laboratories of both institutes in the 1st year and then choose a particular lab where I want to do my master's dissertation project. Here the Faculties to the student ratio is exceptional as there are 15 Faculties with respect to 11 students. Most of the faculties are Ph.D. and Post Doctorate degree holders having an ample amount of experience beneath their belts. EndTerm exams come nearly 4 months after the commencement of classes for every semester.

My college is one of the best colleges in India and to get here I qualified for one of the world's toughest exams so I chose here lower branch to get more opportunities in any field I wanted because that's the beauty of a good college because it provides leverage to choose any field of interest and also my branch is one of the oldest branches and have a good opportunity in the private sector as well as government sector. Here is my department, there are more than 20 proofs to assist you in your research and to teach you. My branch consists of 55 students and the department consists of 100 students in my batch. Here the faculty is very much qualified and have their Phd in top universities of the world like MIT, Harvard etc. The term exam is very much from time to time and it is quite hard to pass the exam but if you study every day than it would not be that much difficult
My brother had offers from IITs to choose any branch except CSE and chose Electrical Engineering in IIT KGP. To date, he does not regret his decision. There are ups and downs in every Institute; it just takes time to adapt yourself to such situations.
It is true that some professors overdo it and push you to the extreme, but if you look at this in a positive manner, it’s their pushing that eventually helps you succeed. There are many seniors who might make fun of your tiny efforts in the labs but trust me, today when they will look back, they will surely be regretting the time they wasted watching movies or series.
My brother told me that Electrical Engineering gave him so many friends and experiences that make him yearn for college life today. The labs are old-fashioned and lack much activity in contrast to a SigNet lab/ Power Systems lab.
I think it’s high time people clear misconceptions about Electrical Engineering and develop a positive opinion about it. We should stop running after jobs and companies and in turn let companies seek us.
The Economics branch is slowly becoming one of the best branches of IIT Kharagpur. Integrated M.Sc. (5 years) in Economics opens with JEE rank 3615 and closes at 5439 as per JoSAA 2022. However, it’s not necessary to evaluate a course on the basis of its opening and closing rank because you can get your branch changed on the basis of your performance in the first year.
A student has to obtain around 8.73 CGPA in order to get their branch changed to Economics. You will have to work very hard to get a high CGPA for branch change.
Curriculum: I have entailed some topics covered over the semesters. For a detailed list, you can visit the official website.
You can easily go for Finance and Consulting jobs provided that you study well during these 5 years. The coursework of this department is always industry relevant to cope up with recent trends.

Irrespective of the branch you join, IIT provides the following to any IIT student
All these things that groom are given to an IITian irrespective of his branch and makes him worthy either of employment to any industry or a good candidate for higher studies in top foreign universities. This is mainly because of the IIT tag.
