Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum of the MSc physics in iit kgp is very hectic. There are 3 labs and 5 theory papers in the first year. For the second year, there are two projects and one internship apart from 3 theory and 2 elective subjects. Faculty members are very experienced and are very research-oriented. They are the legends of their respective fields. Most of the professors are very chill and very friendly and is easy to get in touch with them.

Internships Opportunities :

There are various research internship opportunities available at my college. there are two seasons of internship one is winter internship and another is summer internship. winter internship is of 1 month and summer internship is of 1-3 months depending upon your professor and your interest areas.

Placement Experience :

Placement is mostly done in the it sector, so students who are interested in the placements get a very good job in IT. But in the MSc physics no high number of students placed. Most students are likely to go for a Ph.D.But if you know data science then you can bag a good job with a handsome salary.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The per semester fee of this course is 104000 per year including the 69300 rupees of hostel fee. A very smooth system of getting student loans is provided by the state bank of India. A scholarship of 6k rupees is provided per month out of 6k rupees 1k is provided during msc period per month and the remaining 5k per month will be provided once you enroll in the Ph.D.

Campus Life :

The campus is very beautiful and well-lit during the night. There are n number of clubs which you can join as per your interest. Very good and modern infrastructure is present in the iit kharagpur. The library is very big and the center of attraction is kgp. There are plenty of books and research journals available which you can easily get for up to 2 months. There are a lot of social activities and festival celebrations like illumination short name illu for the celebration of Diwali.

Admission :

IIT jam is the entrance exam conducted by iits, iisc every year. The notification came by the start of September, and forms started filling by the 5th of September. The date of the examination is the second Sunday of February. After clearing the cutoff of your respective category you're eligible to fill out the counseling form. there are about four lists of cutoffs of every department each year released by the organizing institute. After you are shortlisted for any iit, you will be given an offered letter by that iits. the cutoff will be different for the different categories. The admission process is very smoothly conducted by the IITs. One must have a BSc or equivalent degree to be eligible for this exam.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I love mathematics from school level. I wished to student this subjet in future and after scoring good in class 12 I took decision to study mathematics from krishnagar government college. Teachers made it easy to chose to study msc then. In msc semester exams after 4/5 months are really difficult to study, but you have to compromise with situation ,nothing to do.

Students typically become eligible for campus placements from the penultimate semester of their program. For undergraduate students, this is usually the seventh semester, and for graduate students, it could be the third semester. Google, Microsoft, Amazon, IBM, Infosys, TCS. Placements opportunity are actually very good in this college. For UG-courses, students are eligible from the 5th semester and for PG courses, from the 3rd semester onwards, they are eligible for on-campus placements. Many good companies visit campus. All the details are available on the website. The placement cell is very active and ensures a higher number of placements.

Placement Experience:

From Last semester students are eligible for appearing in campus placements. In our time that is 2021, there is not a single company visited to offer jobs in our department. But, in previous years Dr. Reddy's, Cipla, Sun Pharma, etc companies visited. Our just previous batch got approx 4 LPA packages on average.

Placement Experience:

The placement committee is working hard in the science department recently, besides engineering and arts. The students in their last year or previous year of graduation are eligible for placements. The science faculty has recently linked with AI companies like Bridge i2i, tech companies like TCS and Infosys, and banks like the CITI bank. One student has already secured her placement in the CITI bank. The engineering department is visited by frequent companies like NTPC, SAIL, Mahindra, Google, Microsoft, Compass, Ranbaxy and other prestigious MNCs and international enterprises. Almost 78% of the students get hired in on-campus recruitments and the average package is 6-7lpa in science and 12-13lpa in engineering. After completing my Master, I am thinking of getting a one-year job experience and then, opting for M.Tech.

Remarks:

Lots of positives are there to say regarding JU. It's the premier institution in West Bengal and perhaps entire eastern India for a reason. The free thinking, diversity, tolerance, political consciousness which it imbibes into its students is something everyone of them will fondly cherish when they will set foot out of those beloved gates for one last time.

Remarks:

Overall experience is good. Campus is good too. But some of the departments should be taken care of too. They are worst and after some time courses are stopped. Instead care should have taken.
