Course Curriculum Overview :

I have done B.Sc. in physics from St Xavier's college Ranchi. Then, I thought of doing a master's in physics from a recognised university for which I prepared for JAM . And, fortunately I did it Here, u will find a competitive surrounding, It's fun reading here. Student teacher ratio is decent . But, in some courses like in electives no. Of students is big.

Class Size : 59Course Fees : INR 102000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

I being a non tech student I can get research internship within the campus or out of the campus i.e . Into other well known institutions of the country. Tech students have more opportunities for doing internship and getting play

Placement Experience :

If u are a tech loving student, then u will find various placement opportunities. But, it's a bad news for non tech students like me Because, for us the possibility of getting placed is very small. If don't get placed from here , I thought of preparing for NET and because a physics professor.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fee Structure for M.Sc. courses is ok like we need to pay around 45000 per semester. But, if we talk about scholarship then it's a bad news that there is no institute scholarship for unreserved students but u can get it for other organisations like NSP.

Campus Life :

IIT kgp has the largest campus among all IITs So, u will definitely find it fun to go around for a walk or cycling round the campus . There's various things like sports , swimming, music, etc in u can participate.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel are good enough, they are clean and well furnished. Mess facility is available in every hn hostels , the food is also ok. U can find rental room near the campus , I live inside campus in MMM hall of residence.

Hostel Fee : INR 40000 per year

Admission :

I got admission to through IIT JAM exam. In which I have secured 600 rank. Every year this exam is conducted by different IIT in cycle for admission into M.Sc. courses. U can get admission into IITs, IISC, NITs, etc.

Study mathematics in Kalyani university

Course Curriculum Overview:

I love mathematics from school level. I wished to student this subjet in future and after scoring good in class 12 I took decision to study mathematics from krishnagar government college. Teachers made it easy to chose to study msc then. In msc semester exams after 4/5 months are really difficult to study, but you have to compromise with situation ,nothing to do.

Placement Experience:

Students typically become eligible for campus placements from the penultimate semester of their program. For undergraduate students, this is usually the seventh semester, and for graduate students, it could be the third semester. Google, Microsoft, Amazon, IBM, Infosys, TCS. General Electric, Siemens, Tata Motors, Larsen & Toubro. Top tech companies like Google and Microsoft typically make around 5-10 offers each. Finance firms like Goldman Sachs can make 10-15 offers.

Placements opportunity are actually very good in this college. For UG-courses, students are eligible from the 5th semester and for PG courses, from the 3rd semester onwards, they are eligible for on-campus placements. Many good companies visit campus. All the details are available on the website. The placement cell is very active and ensures a higher number of placements.

From Last semester students are eligible for appearing in campus placements. In our time that is 2021, there is not a single company visited to offer jobs in our department. But, in previous years Dr. Reddy's, Cipla, Sun Pharma, etc companies visited. Our just previous batch got approx 4 LPA packages on average.

Jadavpur University: Why Not?

Placement Experience:

The placement committee is working hard in the science department recently, besides engineering and arts. The students in their last year or previous year of graduation are eligible for placements. The science faculty has recently linked with AI companies like Bridge i2i, tech companies like TCS and Infosys, and banks like the CITI bank. One student has already secured her placement in the CITI bank. The engineering department is visited by frequent companies like NTPC, SAIL, Mahindra, Google, Microsoft, Compass, Ranbaxy and other prestigious MNCs and international enterprises. Almost 78% of the students get hired in on-campus recruitments and the average package is 6-7lpa in science and 12-13lpa in engineering. After completing my Master, I am thinking of getting a one-year job experience and then, opting for M.Tech.
