IIT MANDI

New Delhi: IIT Mandi has launched a BTech in General Engineering program to help and train students with diverse skills. The program aims to prepare students for evolving industry demands and change the existing engineering norms. The academic calendar and admission schedule for the BTech program will be announced soon.

As per IIT Mandi, the BTech in General Engineering is a two-year course. The first two years include a comprehensive exploration of various branches of engineering, such as mechanical engineering, civil engineering, data science, and computer science.

In the final two years, students will specialise in various domains. They will also have the option to enroll in various courses at partner institutions nationally and internationally. In their final year, they will be allowed to gain practical experience in a collaborating institute.
