I choose this course because first of all I have a huge curiosity and interest in this course. Specifically the professors are very amazing and package is very descent(my big brother has the same course he told me about professor thing)all of this influenced my decision while choosing this course. Well this is a point where DTU lacks because sometimes the curriculum is not focusing on teaching real World application rather it is just forcing you to go through the same old way. Well improvements are required in the point I mentioned above teaching real World application. Everything else is just fine frequency and timing for exams and difficulty level everything is good.

The course curriculum is pretty the same from 30 years or more. Although through MOOCs and electives one can learn about new tehnologies and also study other branches especially AI and ML. The curriculum in Civil Engg should be revised.

I chose civil engineering because of my rank, I was eligible for it. Although I wanted electrical & communication. The course was well planned and barring a few professors, the rest were not at all interested in teaching but availing their salaries on time. I believe, except few subjects within the course, I was not at all prepared for the real life application. However, college ecosystem trained me well for the society and handling real life challenges. At the end, it is about how much you learn within college than really in the classes. And for that, DTU is a fablous place.

I chose this course because i always wanted to do field work. Not sitting in the office infront of a computer. The Curriculum is very much helpful as it teaches us things which can be applied in real word. But in college there is so much of theory work that the practical study is ignored most of the tims.

As I have civil engineering as my course and I will say that it is a good branch of engineering for the students who want go in construction line and also after the completion of course you can give government exams like GATE, ESE, etc. And our faculty members are also good they provide us notes and also help us at the time of exams

The reason for me choosing civil engineering is preet simple I loved this course and about students ratio girls are still found only in tech department's that a drawback we can assume students ratio of boys and girls to be 76:4. The faculty of the college have their PhDs as well national recognition. The exams were conducted timely and in a smooth manner plus a person having good knowledge of the subject can pass.

I chose this course beacause of good placement record and average pachage is also very good. for one subject for a class of 75 students one faculty will be there so 1:75 approx you can for every subject and also large number of security and others workers are also there, Average teaching method all are well qualified

so basically i chose this course because i want to become an engineer. In our college the intake of students is around 2500 and in our college we have almost 60 or 70 professor. so the ratio is between student and faculty is good and our faculty is well educated and almost most of the professor published their research paper from foreign. we hve two exam one is mid sem and other is endsem and both happen under six months and if you are sincere student you can easily score more than 8 cgp.

Choosing COE at Thapar University over DTU Civil Engineering isn’t a mistake. Compared to Civil, COE has more career opportunities. Thapar University is a reputed private university and offers good placement opportunities for COE. Around 90% of students get placed from the branch. According to the highlights of Thapar University placements 2022, the average CTC for COE is around INR 13 LPA.
If your interest lies in computer science or you are as ardent in getting it as most of the people around then choose CSE at Bharti Vidyapeeth under IPU.
On the other hand, if you are comfortable with a core branch-like civil engineering and at a college like DTU, then you should undoubtedly go with it.
Here is a brief comparison of the two institutes.
