IIT Guwahati MBA Eligibility Criteria

A candidate must meet the following requirements to be admitted to the MBA program:

  • A valid score in the CAT (Common Admissions Test)score.
  • Bachelor’s or a Master’s degree with at least 60% marks or a min. CPI or CGPA of 6.0 on a 10-point scale. For SC/ST/PwD candidates, a relaxation of 5% in marks (i.e. min. 55%) or equivalent in CPI or CGPA (i.e. min. 5.50) is permissible.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree should be from the universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India. The Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification obtained by the candidate must entail a min. of three years of education after completing 10+2 or equivalent.
  • Applicants in the final year of their graduation are also eligible to apply. If selected, their admission will be provisional and is subject to them fulfilling the required eligibility criteria by the stipulated time prescribed by the Institute.

In the admission process of IITG’s MBA program, only valid CAT Score cards will be approved. A 10% score would be given to female candidates.
