The course curriculum is moderate in Nit Durgapur college. During 1st year, in both semester Everyone have to study all the subjects that are common for all the branches, like physics, chemistry, maths, environmental studies, mechanics, DSA, computer programing, etc. There is also one subject that is extracurricular activities in which we have to choose yoga or taekwondo that have class one day every week, in the morning. Most of the proffs. use ppt to demonstrate the topics, that is very good point. So that all the students take interest in studying. There are 3-4 classes of 1 hours every day from Monday to Friday and holidays in Saturday and Sunday.

Course curriculum is similar to any other NITs, but our college with the new trend arising also started introducing subjects like Ai, ML to our curriculum. Not only that, here all students are trained properly to work on different softwares which make them industry ready.

If I get a chance to rate Curriculum of college then I'll rate 8/10 because placement wise this college is Growing year by year 13lpa avg package is here which is decent. But I have to rate faculty then it will be around 6 because some of the faculty are very strict in this college. They didn't give suitable marks

Our college follows its own curriculum in terms of relevance and comprehensive. I would rate my curriculum 9/10 . Our curriculum is designed by higher professionals in our college. They add extra activities releted to technology information which helps to the students for further education. There are two semesters per year. And for 1 semester there is one midterm exam which is easy if we attend our lectures properly and do work day to day.

I would rate the course curriculum 4.5/5 as it is designed totally based on the Industrial aspects on Chemical Engineering. We also have C and DSA in our 1st year curriculum which helps us in the beginning step to coding world

I chose this course because the prospect of chemical engineering in the upcoming days is huge, especially considering the upcoming nanotechnology, biofuel implementation, Lithium Ion Battery Technology, and other research fields. We have 80 students in our class and 16 teachers in our course. Every teacher has PhD from an internationally reputed university and the way of teaching is very good. There are 3 exams Midsemester, End Semester, and Class Assignments. Midsemester occurs 1.5 months after the course starts and the End semester occurs 4 months after the semester begins.

I am a student in the Chemical Engineering B.Tech program at NIT Durgapur. As it is a core subject it is a little more harder and hectic than other non-core branches. The curriculum goes through classes, assignments, various labs and workshops. All faculty members and highly qualified and very supportive inside and outside of the classroom. Each semester consists of at least two examinations which are mid-term and end-term and the difficulty level depends on the faculty member.

I was fond of chemistry and physics so I liked this course because my father is also a chemical engineer and currently working under the Power Development Company under the state government. Currently the faculty: student ratio is 16:75 The teachers are exceptionally talented and teach well. But not everyone teaches well. There are some teachers whose words will remain forever while there are some teachers who try their best to understand the topic but unfortunately, I (including my friends) fail to understand.
The choice of an institute depends on 2 major factors, the credibility of the institute and the branch you are getting. In terms of the worth of the institute NIT Rourkela clearly overpowers NIT Durgapur. NIT Rourkela ranks second in East India after IIT Kharagpur.
NIT Rourkela Biotechnology is designed for students whose primary focus is pursuing qualitative research and g for a Masters's or Ph.D. That being said, it has limited job opportunities and the placement percentage is as low as 60%. Moreover, only a handful of core companies make offers and the average CTC offered is in the range of 5 -6 Lakhs.
NIT Durgapur Chemical Engineering is a suitable choice if you prioritize placements to research work. Even the core placements are decent here with companies like IOCL, etc visiting the campus during placements.
Ultimately, both institutes and branches offer diverse opportunities so you need to consider your inclinations first. If you are a research enthusiast, NIT Rourkela Biotechnology is great but if your first preference is earning money, then go for NIT Durgapur Chemical Engineering.
