Bengal College of Engineering and Technology Courses and Admission
B.Tech and B.Tech (Lateral) Entry Admission
- The candidate should have done 10+2 or equivalent with 45% marks in PCM taken together and should have obtained 30% or passing marks in English to get admission to the B.Tech program.
- For B.Tech program, the selection will be made on the basis of merit in Joint Entrance Examination conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEE) or Joint Entrance Examination (JEE-Main) held by CBSE.

- To apply for B.Tech (Lateral), the candidate should have done Diploma or must hold B.Sc degree with minimum 50% marks from AICTE/UGC approved institution.
Note: The required marks for the SC/ST candidates is 40%.Whereas for the B.Tech (lateral), the required marks is 45% for reserved categories.
M.Tech Admission
- The candidate should possess B.E/B.Tech degree with the minimum required marks in the relevant field to apply to the program.
- Final selection of the candidate will be based on the GATE score.
BBA and MBA Admission
- To be eligible for BBA program, the candidate is required to pass 10+@ with minimum required marks.
- To get admission to the MBA program, the candidate must have done Graduation in any discipline with at least 45% marks.
- The final selection in the MBA program will be based on the score of MAT conducted by AIMA, New Delhi or WB-JEMAT conducted by MAKAUT, Kolkata.
BCA and MCA Admission
- For BCA, the candidate must have done 10+2 with minimum required marks and should have Mathematics as one of the main subjects.
- Whereas for MCA, the candidate should possess Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with Mathematics/Statistics as one of the subjects.
- Final selection will be based on the JECA Entrance Examination conducted by MAKAUT, Kolkata for MCA program.

The admission Process was smooth, the faculty helped us in the terms of admission and during the admission panel will guide you throughout the admission. You can take admission in 3 ways, through wbjee, through Jee Main, and through direct admission.

College accept WB JEE or JEE mains exam for admission if you want direct admission then seat booking is also done by giving 10 thousand rs. And you take all the detail from college admistration .they will help you more they are co-operative in starting time

- For my personal views, I love to play basketball and the college has a basketball court for this.
- Academic activities and supportive faculty members are a plus point of this college.
Dislikes
- The 75% attendance is a stress. You have to complete this criteria otherwise they will send a report to your parents
- Attitude of some teacher is not good. They have less knowledge but they have lots of attitude.
Admission:
If you are interested in taking admission in this college, you have to qualify a exam which is held by WBJEE board in the month of March - April. The exam form is availbale in month of December. You have to clear the cutoff of this college and if you are done with this, you can apply for counelling process (you can check youtube for this, also there are notices available on the WBJEE official sites) and you can list this college as your choice in counselling and if your marks suits the criteria and seats are available, college will be alloted to you. Onec the college got alloted, you can visit the college with all the required credentials and you can get the admission. The admission process is very easy. It will not take you much time in the campus.

You have to fill WBJEE or JEE form in the month of Novembert for admission in Bengal College of Engineering and techonology . The application fee is around INR 550 per person. The second way to take admission is Managment Kota which is most costly for students .The difficulty level is lower than JEE Advance but higher than JEE mains.

- College infrastructure is up to the mark. Every department has their separate building and campus size is also large.
- The sports facility in the campus is 10/10. We get to play every sports like basket ball, cricket, volleyball, etc.

- College administration task is slow after admission. During admission everything will be fast but after the admission, they take lot of time to help you.
- Classes are running on old techniques like there is no such advance facility

To get the admission, you have to clear WBJEE exam and after then only you will be able to join this college. You can check the how much you have scored in your exam and then you can check the cutoff. There is a counselling time decided by WBJEE board in which you fill a list of college and among them you get one. So you can list this college in counselling and you can easily come to this college. The admission process on campus is very simple. Yu just have to come with all the required documents mentioned on the college website and you just have to fill a form and done.

The admission process was smooth . As i was coming from WBJEE councelling so i just came after college allocation and my admission process starts after visiting the campus . My rank was 30k so i got the college very easily , anyone with 50k and lower can choose this college while councelling process.

- The faculty members r very good. Very friendly, compatible and helpful.
- Classes are regularly taken. Notes are provided in wap groups even if someone misses classes
Dislikes
- I think teachers and faculty members should be much more strict against students not attending classses regularly. May be students won't like it initially but it would prove to beneficial for them in the future.
- Money is charged for almost all events and all small and big functions. May they seem to be a small amount initially but prove to be big at the end of the year. Atleast this is for me, brought up in a average middle class family.
Admission:
After passing out 12,one can avail for the BBA course. Application Forms, Fees, Dates differ from college to college or universities to universities, can be easily found out on their websites online or physically in respective Colleges. Entrance Exams' rules depend and differ universities to universities. My college is affiliated to Makaut University so I had to take an entrance test which I had cleared easily or ny average student would. Every 6 months are the Semester Exams conducted from University and in between Class Assessments are conducted 4 times between Semesters easily to be cleared by average study routines.
