I chose biotech branch and it has a good scope in india and in foreign as well. World is moving towards bio war and now biotechnocians has greater opportunity to serve this world. We need to promote this branch and india should provide more jobs. In nit durgapur proffesors usually give GATE questions.

From my opinion , course curriculum rate should be 10 out of 10 . Cause the reasearch opportunities are so high level in here and facilities are so educated . Some facilities are got PhD from Germany .

The course curriculam is quite good with moderate pressure through out the semesters except for a few semesters difficulty level is high varying with branches in various semesters. Faculty members are very good with high qualifications and very efficient in their respective fields. Some are quite good but some make the classes too boring. The faculty and student ration is 1:4

I choose the course because of the opportunities from the college. Like in my department, the ratio would be like 8 students to 1 faculty. The faculties are well educated in their topic and they have done their Phd from well reputed institutions. The teaching style is also easy and understandable. The semester takes place on time and the questions level are fairly good so that most of the students passed with good grades.

Because this course is the best I can get ag my rank so I choose this one. The ratio is quite low , I don't remember exactly but it's okay. The professors are well qualified PhD holders performing research in their various fields and releasing scientific research papers. The term exams vary from easy to moderate difficulty level.

My rank was a reason behind choosing biotechnology. The brief student-teacher ratio is roughly 1:14. The faculty is mostly highly qualified and has a Ph.D. but the teaching methods like any other college professor can be improved. The exams occur at an interval of 2 months per semester.

As I belong to the PCMB background, I have to study all the subjects to get past the boards but however I'm more interested in maths so, that's why I took Jee and biotechnology. The faculty-student ratio is about 1:10 and all the faculties were highly qualified from different very big universities abroad. So, it will take a medium effort to get a pass.

UG Btech: The ug program at NIT Durgapur typically have a well-structured curriculum that includes a mix of core courses, elective and practical labs. The curriculum is designed to provide with a strong foundation in their chosen field of engineering
The choice of an institute depends on 2 major factors, the credibility of the institute and the branch you are getting. In terms of the worth of the institute NIT Rourkela clearly overpowers NIT Durgapur. NIT Rourkela ranks second in East India after IIT Kharagpur.
NIT Rourkela Biotechnology is designed for students whose primary focus is pursuing qualitative research and g for a Masters's or Ph.D. That being said, it has limited job opportunities and the placement percentage is as low as 60%. Moreover, only a handful of core companies make offers and the average CTC offered is in the range of 5 -6 Lakhs.
NIT Durgapur Chemical Engineering is a suitable choice if you prioritize placements to research work. Even the core placements are decent here with companies like IOCL, etc visiting the campus during placements.
Ultimately, both institutes and branches offer diverse opportunities so you need to consider your inclinations first. If you are a research enthusiast, NIT Rourkela Biotechnology is great but if your first preference is earning money, then go for NIT Durgapur Chemical Engineering.
