NIT Durgapur Cutoff 2024 (Out): Check JEE Main, GATE, IIT JAM & DASA Cutoff

NIT Durgapur B.Tech cutoffs are released on the JoSAA portal after each round of counselling in the form of Opening and closing ranks. Usually, JEE Main cutoffs are released in 6 rounds on the JoSAA portal and the last two cutoffs are released for the supernumerary seats on the CSAB portal

Dislikes

Traditional curriculum and Teaching methods are decent.
Campus is relatively distant from major cities which is a drawback

Admission to NIT Durgapur is based solely on JEE Mains Exam,with counselling conducted through JOSAA. The cutoff for Mechanical Engineering is competitive which can be found from JOSAA website under previous year cutoff. There are reservation quotas for Home State students as well as for SC,ST,OBC,EWS categories.

Nit Durgapur - At a glance

Infrastructure is very good , The class rooms are very newly built the NAB.
Labs are very well maintained, all the equipments are there.

Hostel are pretty descent put require maintainnance.
Medical unit is not that well equipped and require huge upgradation.

You have to score well in jee mains to enter the college.The Jossa councelling is the method through which the addmission s are done. After giving jee mains we have to sit for Jossa councelling and the csab councelling. After getting the seat in Jossa councelling the rest process is given in the nit dgp official site.

Honest Review of NIT Durgapur

Library has a very good infrastructure and also Internet facility there is quite good
Ece department labs are well equipped with equipments and infrastructure and facilities there is quite good.

Grounds here are small with less sports facilities.
Sports , gym and extracurricular facilities are very limited.

For admission only option is clearing JEE mains with a decent percentile. JEE mains happens twice or four time in a year and the best score is considered. For ece branch and if you are in general category, you rank should be below 15k. Application process for the admission is very simple. You will get every documents on college website and every steps for admission process in details willmbe shared to you on your mail id.

Faculty is very much experienced, qualified and approachable too.
Placement is top notch.For CS,it,ece,ee, mechanical engineering courses opportunities are much more.

Hostel mess food were not upto the mark and they also sometimes provide lower quality food
For branches like chemical,metallurgy and biotechnology, placement committee not putting enough efforts.

The admission process consists of JOSAA counseling which is done after JEE mains exam result declaration,after JOSAA another CSAB round is there for remaining admission.For getting into this college,one has to give JEE mains entrance examination. Reservation based benefits are available, more than 50% seat are reserved for EWS,OBC,SC,ST,PWD candidates. 50% of the seats are for state students .

NIT Durgapur is renowned for its academic excellence,especially in engineering and technology field
It has wel-equiped labs,libraries and sport complexes

The campus might feel overcrowded at times despite having modern facilities

To get into NIT, we need to appear in the JEE Mains Examination. To get NIT Durgapur you have to be among the best 50000 students but it is for the general category. This exam occurs twice a year and it is considered one of the toughest exams in India

The campus environment and availability of things
Hostel facility is very good and mess food is excellent

The management and restrictions for 1st year
The size of campus is very small and some labs are very hard

I got here by JEE examination. The admission process is very smooth. First through CSAB counseling i got seat here then everything in here was online and the proceywas very smooth and minimalistic. Hostel allotment process was also easy.

NIT Durgapur Review

Firstly, I like the campus of NIT Durgapur which covers over 187 of land. The location of the campus is quite good, main market and city centre of Durgapur is at walking distance and one can easily visit market anytime he/she wish.
There are very less restrictions in our campus, one will really enjoy his/her time here.

Hostel are not very good in terms of basic facilities like washroom and clean rooms.
Hostel Mess are average. You will not be satisfied with the food.

One has to take the JEE Main examination to get admission to this college. The cut-off varies from branch to branch like Cut off for the Computer Science department is around AIR 10000 and for the biotechnology cut-off is around AIR 60000.

Our college NIT DURGAPUR

The new academic block has good facilities and equipments, suitable for the students and teachers.
Library facilities are better for the reading environment and to study

The food given in the hostels are pretty much worse than the food we get outside. It needs to be improved.
Some teachers doesn't have to approach to teach easily to students. They don't make it understandable to us.

The rank cuttoff decides the eligibility of the rank in a college for a particular branch. After getting a alloted to a college with the Josaa allotment. We will receive the college mail for the admission and the details to fill and documents to provide fornthe admission. The exams frequency should be decreased by indulging a day gap before the next exam so the students can prepare well and perform better in the exams

Just truth no buttering

I liked the environment its peaceful and campus is not that big don't have to travel a long distance to get to classes

I disliked the lack of facilities in college sports, or music room facilities gym and all and mess is also not good

Since the college is a tier 2 college cutoff might not be considerable for all but its oretty average but for a good branch you have to get a much higher percentile. Application fees is 2000 and admission fees was 30k in 2021
