Admission :
The IITs are the best we can get in our nation. I did not apply to any other colleges other than IITs. And I had confirmed admission in the same branch from IIT Kanpurs and all other lower IITs. I was also getting other branches at IIT Bombay and Delhi. No i did not get rejections from any college. The admission procedure follows after the commencement of JEE Advance and after announcement of the result based on the rank you get in JEE. The Josaa Counselling process is initiated and all qualified students sit in the counselling and based on opening and closing ranks, we get our college allocated.
Faculty :
The faculty to student ratio for undergraduates is 21:1. The faculities are approachable and you can connect with them anytime through your official email. There are some faculities that are very much cooperative and will help you in every possible way to achieve your goals. There are some faculities who are much too concerned about attendance and unintentionally they become a burden for the students. There are Mid_sem and End_sems exam and two class test. Generally the marks distribution is 30 for mid sems , 50 for end sems and 20 for two class tests. It also depends upon professors. The grading can be absolute or relative. The bottom 5 percent fails the course in case of relative grading and in absolute generally those who obtain less than 33 or 35 fails.
