Courses are similar to most government engineering colleges in India but facilities and faculties are the best here in IITs. Most faculties are highly experienced and research oriented in their field.

Course curriculum is absolutely brilliant. But the saddest part is you have to do the work from your own part to have the topics cleared before semester exams. Faculties are not really good enough for teaching. They do have got higher qualifications and degrees but yeah things work that way. You will get to know how to lead a life of your own instead of what we have been living since our childhood.

I don't want to choose Mechanical engineering. I want computer science but for computer science cut off is very high and my rank is not so good for computer science but I am not regretting to choose this course. I think the event ratio is not good because in one classroom there are 180 and only one Prof. Most of the professors graduated from a Prestigious university and also did his MS/Ph.D. from Foreign universities. Here every one and a half months, there is a mid-semester exam, and also after that end semester.

Course curriculum is really apt and good. It was really relevant and enjoyable. Faculty to student ratio is good enough and apt for the students. Faculties have a good knowledge in their subject. Exams are not so tough to pass.

At IIT you do not choose your branch, the branch chooses you. You are given your branch according to your rank in jee advanced. the best thing that I experienced here is that you are surrounded by the cream students of the country, not only this but the professor here are highly qualified with immense knowledge and have contributed to various projects as well have mentored many in their careers. So you get a very good culture and surrounding on the campus
Basically, I interested in the automobile so I choose mechanical engineering. The ratio of teacher and student are 1:30. All faculties have a higher education degree from a foreign and respectful University. Their teaching style is nice. Exam held at every three months. Exam questions are easy to hard basically all type of questions present.
1.5 lakh tuition fee per year. Overall comes around 2.2 lakh per year with mess and hostel charges. Scholarships are provided to financially week students (upto 100%). Campus placement is really good, with offers coming from all kind of profiles- consulting, coding, analytics, marketing, project management, product management, marketing etc.
Recently they increased the fee now it is 142k rupees. It is feasible as rest of private engineering colleges cost more than that. Private colleges like BITS PILANI COST 400K which is not feasible for the common man.
Every Mechanical Engineering student requires high-speed, smooth, and multipurpose laptops to tackle the complications in the course. Your laptop should be efficient enough to do high-speed work and fulfill all requirements since a major part of your study is based on PDFs and online assignments. You require systems that can handle heavy project loads in programs designed for 3D environments and video rendering.
While one can compromise on storage, a Mechanical Engineer’s laptop is expected to have excellent memory, CPU, and graphics that will run heavy programs smoothly.
