the campus is huge and green and lots of things to explore
there are many societies and clubs to involve with

there is no life outside the campus and its almost like a village

Course Curriculum Overview :

In first year all the students are tought same courses so that they can have overview of every subject faculty to student ratio is something 20:1 faculties are highly qualified they have done their reserch from great institutions

Class Size : 200Course Fees : INR 300000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

many companies visit campus everyyear and provide intership opportunities to many students who have their cgpa greater than 8.5. one example is a research internship at hongkong polytechnic university in 3rd year.

Placement Experience :

Our college provides placements to fourth years as well fifth year students, phd and Mtech students this year due to recesion no. of companies visited have decreased to 216 from 250, but still the student got placed with approximately 1350 offers to 1277 students.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fees at IITs are bit high but the istitution itself provides various scholarship to students itself . As well as internship opportunities also also provide financial aid to the students those who are not able to pay their fees

Campus Life :

IIT KGP has its two annual fests namely Spring fest and Kshitij the are conducted annually and IIT KGP is one of the largest library in world classrooms are well maintained with centralised ACs but the ACs never work we have TECHNOLOGY STUDENTS GYMKHANA which provide many opportunities for us to explore our talent

Hostel Facilities :

We are living in a three sharing room but the space is sufficient for us to live Mess food is good and the Menu keeps changing every month we were alloted hostels by the institute itself and the hostel is affordable

Hostel Fee : INR 80000 per year

Admission :

i got into IIT KGP via giving jee advance before jee advance we have to clear cutoff of jee mains and you should have atleast 75 percentage in your boards application is issued by NTA for jee mains atleast 2 months before jee mains and jee advance is conducted by jossa

Review of IEM Kolkata, a strict Engineering College.

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for the placements after the sixth semester. The companies that generally visit us for placements are TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Accenture, Wipro, Oracle, IBM and some other ones. The highest package offered through last years is 22 Lacs Per Annum and on average it is 4-5 LPA. 90% students on average get placed Every year. My plans after getting the Degree is to pursue Freelancing Full Time and Become a Web Designer.

Good Placements

Placement Experience:

We become eligible from the later part of the third year to sit for the placements as the companies arrive then. Mainly placements are dependent on service-based companies like TCS, CTS, Wipro e.t.c. who mass recruits a whole lot of students with standard 3.5 to 4 LPA packages. Product-based companies like Oracle, Amazon, and trilogy too visited the campus. Oracle recruited a few of the candidates, Amazon too but nobody could clear the trilogy's OA rounds. Oracle offered a package of 15lpa and Amazon around 22 LPA. But a lot of students applied off campus and the highest placement off campus was 72 LPA in Google. The placement percentage is nearly 100% which is mainly due to the fact of service-based companies. I too am interested in IT jobs so am preparing for the same.

Seeing stcet again through my eyes

Placement Experience:

Students from the 4th-year 7th semester onwards become eligible for all sorts of campus recruitments. Cognizant technology solutions are the principal recruiter. Other companies which used to come during this time include Infosys, Odesha technologies, itc infotech, and others. All these companies generally take many students from our campus. During our time around 88% of students got selected from our batch. Out of which many students got double job offers from cognizant and Infosys. Some got job offers in sonodyne, Vodafone, and other companies. The highest package was offered by cognizant which was about 6 lakhs per annum. An average package of 3.5 lakhs per annum was offered by Infosys followed by itc infotech which offered roughly 4 lakhs per annum. After getting the degree I will pursue Ms maybe or maybe I can opt for MBA too. Also, I can sit for ies exam. Let's see what happens.
