Remarks :

Huge and influential almuni network(e.g. Sundar Pichai, Arvind Kejriwal, Vinod Gupta etc.). The oldest IIT. Talked to working professionals and realised the vast benefits of studying from an old IIT.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The curriculum is not exactly up to date with the modern engineering practises. The faculty is world class with best of researchers in their respective fields. Had mid terms and end terms every semester. The exams became significantly difficult from third year onwards. Most of the papers were numerical type.

Class Size : 120Course Fees : INR 700000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

I did an internship in an Artificial Intelligence startup based in Bangalore. Around 700 internship offers are made by companies visiting the campus every year. Average stipend of 40k per month. The profiles are very vast ranging from consulting to coding.

Placement Experience :

Campus placement happens in the second last semester for all students. More than 200 companies visit the campus. Companies like Google, Microsoft, Uber, Adobe, Apple, Jaguar, Boeing, ITC, Ford, Mercedes etc. Highest package of 1.2 Crore (coding profile) and average package of 12 lakh. Around 90% of the registered students get placed. I plan to work for a few years and then start a business of my own.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

1.5 lakh tuition fee per year. Overall comes around 2.2 lakh per year with mess and hostel charges. Scholarships are provided to financially week students (upto 100%). Campus placement is really good, with offers coming from all kind of profiles- consulting, coding, analytics, marketing, project management, product management, marketing etc.

Campus Life :

Annual fest- Spring Fest. Technical Fest- Kshitij. Both are conducted in January. The library is one of the biggest libraries in India with lakhs of books ranging from math to filmmaking. There are world class sports facilities for all major sports. More than 20 social clubs- filmmaking, dramatics, debating, painting, literary, business, finance, robotics, product development etc.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostels are just average. Cleaning staff is good. The food is boring but then there are a lot of canteens with decent menu at affordable prices. There is CCD and Subway in the campus. Domino's is closeby to the campus gate.

Admission :

JEE Advanced. All India Rank 4949. Score 179/360

Placement Experience:

Placement is more than 70%. The average offered salary is 4LPA. While the highest offered salary is 18 LPA. Many big companies like IBM, EY, and Deloitte have visited our campus. Our college placement cell is very supportive. They have provided a subscription of Edtech platforms to improve our technical skills. Also, students who did not clear on-campus placement rounds, placement cell helped them to find jobs through off-campus job notifications.
